CHAPTER12 "Our Little Secret"

It was the 2nd day of us being in New York and I had been mentioning Zayden has been nicer than I used to remember I guess he had changed.

It was 9 am and Zayden chatted saying he wanted to hang out at the park at 2 pm so I responded with "Sure" I wonder what he wants to talk about.

It was 2 pm and I went to the park and saw Zayden sitting on the bench looking at the ground so I walked up to him and said "Hey" he looked up to me and said "Oh hey I didn't mention you there" so I sat next to him and asked "Why did you call me here?" "I wanted to ask you.....are you sure we never met before? You look familiar like I've known you a long time ago" he said and my heart skipped a beat hearing that "No, I just moved here....I'm originally from Los Angeles" I said, he quickly looked down again and said "Oh, well are you related to someone named Maya Turner?" "Oh the girl that used to live in the house I'm in? Well I'm not related to her I only knew her cause of the house" I said as I looked at the sky "I see, well you can go now.... I only wanted those questions to be answered" he said so I stood up and asked "I'm very curious what relationship do you have with Maya?" "Childhood friends...well she moved away and ever since I haven't seen her" he said I looked down at him and saw that he is trying to not cry which made me confused.......Does he miss me? "I'll get going now, don't stay out for too late" then I went back home and asked Zoe if she wanted to go with me at the mall then she gladly went with me.

We went to find another canvas cause she wanted to paint at the park tomorrow so we bought some and went to the stationaries and I bought a notebook and 2 sketchpads for both of us then afterwards we went to the café and bought coffee then we left the mall and went back home.

Zoe finished eating her dinner while I haven't even touched my food cause I was busy thinking why Zayden looked so sad earlier then Zoe snapped her fingers in front of my face and said "Hey...the food is gonna get cold if you don't eat it" then I looked at my food and realized I haven't ate a single thing in it "Ah yeah sorry...." I said and she didn't even ask why I was spacing out she probably already knows since she knows I met up with Zayden.

After eating me and Zoe laid down on our bed and Zoe already fell asleep but I am looking at my old pictures of me and Zayden it almost made me tear up on how long it has been since me and him talked without him mad or being rude so I turned my phone off, put it on the side of my bed and slept.
