Six years had passed since Tony's death and it hadn't gotten any easier.It only took a few months for everyone to move on.Steve had done an amazing job raising four kids all on his own,of course with some help from the Avengers.The children-they weren't children anymore, Aurora was now a thirteen year old teenager as for the the twins and Joe they are now the age Ari was when...well we all know what happened.As the twins grew they both knew about Tony's existen and there wasn't a day either one of them asked about him.Joe,on other hand he knew about Sharon and that she was his mom, and it wasn't as if she didn't wanted to be with him she just couldn't.It had been tough for Steve raising four kids all on his own,he never imagined that he would have to.Aurora was the one who's been having it bad, she went from being Steve's sweet little girl to a rebellious teenager.Bruce gave his input and told the super soldier that it was her way of coping with Tony's absence.It wasn't easy though....

Steve set a plate of food in front of the kids just as Aurora walked in, she threw her backpack on the floor angrily slumping down on a chair. The super soldier smiled while putting a plate in front of her, but she simply pushed it away.

"Aurora you must eat"Steve spoke,his face suddenly becoming serious.She glanced up at him with a frown on her face.

"I don't want to eat, I don't want to speak to you, what part of that don't you understand?"she quickly went back to her phone typing away,Steve snatched the phone away from her earning a groan from Aurora, she looked up at him again annoyed.

"Don't speak to me that way"his voice was rising, startling the younger kids. The rest of the team walked into the kitchen hearing the commotion and maybe try to help somehow. Ever since Tony's death everyone's been living in the Stark Tower to help the super soldier with the kids.Without them he always thought he would have never made it through.

"Or what?"There was a small silence between them both, the kids stared at Aurora scared of the argument that they were having.Ari got up from the stool reaching out to grab her phone but the super soldier moved it away from her grasp.

"Why are you acting like this Aurora?"Ari huffed in annoyance rolling her eyes

"Because,it's all your fault-because of you dad is not here and me and my brothers had to grow up without him.Sometimes I think that it should've have been you..."she tried very hard to hold back her tears,the memories of that day flowing back to her.Steve only stared at his daughter a single tear running down his cheek,it hurt him hearing her say that it was his fault that Tony was longer here.She knew that he had risked his life to save Steve and their kids.

"AURORA!"Bucky yelled trying to extinguish the tension,he knew that she was being very unfair with him.Steve had done everything he could to take care of all four kids.Bucky more than anyone knew that he would give up his life for Tony.Aurora murmur a low 'whatever' picking her backup up pushing her way through everyone walking out of the Stark tower.Bucky walked up to Steve with a sympathetic look on his face placing a hand on his shoulder.

"You ok?"the super soldier nodded his head leaving the room and made his way down to Tony's lab.He punched in the code,the doors quickly opening and the lights turning on.He walked up to his desk picking up a family photo that Rohdey had took on the twins first birthday.Steve sat down on what was Tony's chair tears streaming down his face,,anger suddenly building up inside of him he threw the picture across the room instantly sobbing laying his head down on the desk.He never realized how much it still hurt,he glanced up his mind going back to the day he had first asked Tony out on a date and how nervous he was.....

****Flashback*****

After the small tour that Tony had given Steve of the city he couldn't bring himself to ask him out again.He wasn't even sure if that was their first date.Maybe if he asked him if they could go to dinner to talk more about the technology advancements it would count like a date.He shook his head in disagreement,what a stupid and childish idea why can't he just ask him out.The super soldier took a deep breath and picked up the the single rose he gotten for him and went down the his lab.He punched in the numbers,his nerves becoming more and more intense.

What's the worst that can happen?He thought to himself a simple 'no' he nodded his head as if he was giving himself courage.He walked inside looking around the room,when he spotted Tony on his desk sipping on one of those weird looking shakes.Steve started to walk towards him, when suddenly he tripped on a box that was on the ground.Tony heard the rukus quickly standing up and going over to him catching him before he could fall. "Are you ok?"he laughed, helping him stand up straight then letting go of him.Steve assured him that he was ok,all while he dusted himself off "So what brings you down here?"

"I just-I wanted to...umm"he muttered  nervously cursing under his breath just when he thought he got it  he almost fell and now he can't say a single sentence "You what?Just spit it out Rogers"Tony stared at him confused then looked down at the rose in his hands,his gaze moving back to his eyes "Doyouwannahavedinnerwithme?"he mutter all at once.The brunette stared at him more confused than ever, "Excuse me?"Steve sighed "Do you wanna go and have dinner with me?"Tony was left speechless,he never thought that he would ask him out.

Not after how their 'first date' turned out.It wasn't bad, it was just that he expected for it to come out his mouth that it was a date and not just let him decide whether it was or not.After a few minutes of silence Tony broke the tension between them both "Pick me at eight.Don't be late cap"Steve smiled watching Tony walked back to his desk,he looked down at his hands and saw that he was still holding the rose "Oh this is for you"the brunette glanced up at him and smiled "Thanks" "So eight?"the super soldier repeated making Tony laugh.He nodded his head,Steve left the rose on his desk and left his lab he still had to pick what to wear.

He was suddenly interrupted by Wanda who had come down to check up on him.She went up to him smiling softly,she put her hand on his shoulder startling the super soldier a little.He looked up at her with red puffy eyes.Steve hadn't cried this much since Tony's funeral.

"Loki took the kids to school.Are you ok?"the super soldier nodded his head getting up from the chair.

"We should probably lock this room up"Wanda stared at him in disbelief.A few months after he gave Aurora the Iron Man suit that Tony had made for her, he one day put it away from her reach-and-sight.He now thought it was time to do the same with his lab and possibly the Stark Tower.
