Chapter 5

Y/n POV

"Chris, meet Nightmare. Nightmare, meet Chris." I introduce trying to ease the tension between the two.

Chris is hidden behind me scared shitless and holding onto his flashlight for dear life.

"Hello Chris..." Nightmare says nervously.

"H-Hello.." Chris answers still shaking profusely. Poor thing is scared out of his mind.

"Chris do you have any questions for Nightmare? Maybe it'll help break the ice so you two can get along and be friends." I ask and say trying to cut the tension and I could feel Chris loosen his grip on my pants leg.

"Why did you torment me?" Chris asks in a sudden burst of confidence in his voice catching me off guard. Is he upset? Wait...

I glance at William and he gives me a knowing look back. The remnant on William is still strong and traces of it Is effecting Chris and fueling his small outburst but it's nothing major..yet.

"Did you find enjoyment in my fear? Did you think my tears were funny?" Chris continues due to nightmares silence. I put a hand on his shoulder but he jerks away and looks up at me violently his eyes with a bit of purple.

"Don't touch me! He needs to answer!" Chris snaps.

"Nightmare this isn't Chris's usual personality, the remnant coming from William is effecting his emotions." I explain quickly then turn to William.

"Mr.Afton please go take a shower to get the excess remnant off so this doesn't get any more out of hand." I say and William nods then goes to do as asked.

"Chris calm down a second and Nightmare will explain why he was doing what he-" I say but before I can finished Chris Pushes me as hard as he could causing me to fall on the wood floor.

"NO! What he did wasn't forgivable! There is no excuse!" Chris yells at me enraged then he turns to nightmare now Chris's eyes are fully purple not just a little bit.

Chris lunges at Nightmare who just stands there unmoving and Micheal jumps in the way grabbing his brother and picking him up.

"LET GO OF ME!" Chris rages as he trys to wiggle free of his brothers grip.

"Chris." Mike says. but Chris continues to struggle ignoring Mike.

"Chris!" Mike says again, this time a bit louder; still to no avail.

"CHRISTOPHER!" Micheal finally yells his eyes now a bit purple from the strong emotion. Chris finally stops breathing heavy and glaring at Mike.

"Why do you care!? All you do is bully me and make me cry. no matter how nice I am to you!!" Chris snaps at Mike

"I'm sorry." Micheal manages to say eyes beginning to tear up and he continues.

"I was jealous.. Father only gave love to you and Elizabeth and he ignored me!" Micheal breaks and he hugs Chris Tightly who is now starting to lose the purple himself.

"Mikey.." Chris mutters through tears.

"Chris, I am so sorry. I have been a horrible brother and I don't deserve to be forgiven but please.. Give the Nightmares a chance... they aren't bad they thought you were replacing me and became angry." Mike explains as he sets Chris down.

"Mike.." I say and Mike looks at me tears staining his cheeks and his eyes are purple then he runs down the hall locking himself in the guest bedroom.

Chris doesn't say a thing but he gets up and goes to Nightmare.
