tw: character death, zombies
-------
7 students huddled in a classroom. Desks barricading the door as the thumping of steps continued throughout the halls. Already the situation seemed awful. And it was. The group had previously had 8 students who were fleeing for the empty classroom. Yet one got picked off. It was devastating to hear...let alone saw what happen. That dam window. Her blood was splattered against it, her mindless re-animated body roaming the halls. Constantly taunting the group of 4 that had lost her.
Stacy was trying so hard not to sob, eyes filling with tears. It could have been her. She was so close to the one being grabbed and turned. Holding her hands over her face, Brinley hugged her tightly pulling her towards her. Dez and Nikki were glaring at the other 3 students who were in the classroom. There sworn enemies. Well, Ed's sworn enemies and there's.
The inverted jocks. Felix, Evil Justin or Carver (as he was more commonly known as) and Ethan.
Didn't even bother warning them what was coming up behind them. Just sprinted past them and headed for this room, even shutting the doors in their faces that Brinley and Dez was able to open and allow Nikki and Stacy to get inside. How low would they go?
Nikki soon stood up and walked over to the 3 inverted jocks. "Why'd you shut the door on us?" Breaking the silence of the room.
"Why wouldn't we shut the door on you." Felix immediately snapped back. "In case you haven't noticed the zombie apocalypse is happening." He gestured to the door. "Of course we'd shut the door."
"You could have warned us, least given us a heads up on what was coming behind us." Dez looked at the window, deciding that to help out her friends she should at least try and cover up the window. "Anyone got a water bottle?" She started searching in the bags that were left behind.
Ethan got up and picked up a random bag and put it on a desk, rummaging through it and pulling out a full water bottle. Carver soon grabbed it off of him. "Don't waste it on her. You might need it. Just help look for other ones."
Nikki rolled her eyes a little. "Well if that is the only water bottle available, then what?"
"There's a water fountain down the hall if you wanna collect water." He replied bluntly going up to the window that looked out to the hallway and pointed at it.
"We don't have a water bottle container. Then what, genius?" Nikki put her hands on her hips.
Upon saying that Dez was able to find a half full water bottle. "We can use this now." She made her way towards the back of the classroom, searching through the draw for pieces of paper.
"Well then that's sorted. Ain't it, genius?" Carver mimicked the same motion of putting his hands on his hips. Despite looking much more ridiculous.
"Well not until we run out of water, genius."
Felix huffed. "Carver just ignore her, we can throw her out if she keeps acting like this." He sat down on one of the chairs.
"True."
Brinley brought Stacy up with her. "You should probably take a seat, you're really shaky and I don't think sitting on the floor is helping." She held out one of the nearby chairs, dragging it along the floor causing it to create a high pitched screak. Stacy soon took the seat and kept her back to the window. Not being able to bear looking in the general direction of that window.
Hence why Dez was determined to cover it up by splashing water over the top and cover it with the paper. "That should hide us from the zombies." Muttering quietly to herself, glancing at the water bottle noting how she was quickly running out. "Hey Nikki? Drag that chair here?"
