As long as he remembers, this village was deserted during the first ninja war, after the 5 great nations were divided into more regions and thus nobody wanted to take this little sorrowful place into their account.

Madara was walking casually towards the tree where he could sit on a branch and look at the people from up, he wasn't sure why the feudal lord told him to come here. He said, "I need a woman from there who cures cancer. She is a medic and she can cure any type of cancer."
But he could've just ordered her to come to his place. Why the hell he has to come to this gloomy place whereas he could train with his newly arrived shuriken.

He was sitting quietly on a branch when a woman came near the tree and looked up above.
Then she looked down and started walking away.

Madara jumped from the tree and shouted,"Oi matte, matte."
The woman stopped and looked back.

Those eyes. Those deep black eyes. Madara's heart stopped beating for a moment. She was wearing a bright yellow kimono, her raven hair tied up to a neat bun with loose strands hanging from it, her forehead covered with a white cloth, she smiled a little bit and asked, "My brother told me he saw you sitting there. Do you know what tree is that?"

He nodded.
She spoke so clearly yet her voice was so soothing like morning breeze. There surely are many women more beautiful than her, but she had something so immaculate in her whole appearance, as if she was the cleanest place in the whole world. She looked like a shrine herself.

She spoke. This time turning backwards to face Madara.
"That tree is a divine representation of Budhha. How dare you put your legs on that?"
But she was smiling.
"I am sorry. I didn't know.", Madara caught himself apologizing to a human for first time in his life. What has happened to him?

"What is your name boy?"
Boy? Who is boy? This time he became furiously angry and frowned. He told,"I am not a boy. I am Uchiha Madara from konohagakure."

Her expressions changed for a moment. Then she smiled again and told, "Go back to your Village then."

She turned back and started walking again.
Sun was setting, and her bright kimono was turning into the color of burning wood.
Madara tried to become tough with her but something was bothering him, trying to hold himself back. He stirred up and ran to stand in front of her.
"Listen, I am just a ninja, shinobi. My land lord has given me a mission to fetch a woman from this villege who can cure cancer. Can you help me in finding her? I mean, you can just tell me where she lives and then you can go."
She looked directly into his eyes and he found himself speechless. Is this intimidation? Madara didn't know a woman can be such intimidating.

He spoke softly, "Look, I just want to meet the woman. No ruckus."
"Do you know her name?" She asked.
"Yes. It is Watanabe Akiko."
"I am afraid that's my name."
"Oh. I think I cannot bring you to my village. Because... You seem to be very tough lady.", Madara smirked. He already had an idea that it could be her, by her appearance.
"Are you mocking me?"
"No I'm not. Seriously."
Akiko started walking again down the hill. Madara followed her and said,"I can bring him here if you want. I mean if you don't want to go."
Akiko didn't look at him and said, "What are you doing this for? Money? I can give you money. How much did he promise to pay you? I can give you 1000 yen more than that."

Now, at this moment, Madara lost his temper. A slashing sound and both of his eyes were bright red.
Akiko didn't even finch. She stood there expressionless and suddenly her face turned towards a very different worried expression.
Although Madara was going to use force against her, she came towards him and poked her index finger on his forehead, closing her eyes.

Madara felt a strange sensation inside his body as if his blood was rushing towards his cheeks. He didn't feel anything like this before. She opened her eyes and said, "Come with me."

And she didn't speak any words on the way to her hut.

When they entered to her seemingly gloomy hut, Madara found himself standing among few small children, and few old women. They all were doing something with each of them having a lamp beside their seat.

Akiko told him to sit on the carpet that was laying in front of a wooden door.
Madara was confused about all these things. What did she want? If she's not ready to go to konoha then should he force her? Will that work? Madara was burning with questions when he felt some children watching him from behind.
He looked back and all of them were gone. He smiled a little bit. He stared at the front door and again felt something pulling his long floor-touching hair.
"Ouch!"
Akiko just pulled out a strand of hair from his head and put it into a giant pot.
Madara was going to shout but her glare made him silent. Suddenly he saw two children approaching towards him with some glasses in their hand. One of them was carrying rice cakes. Yeah, give me. I am hungry, Madara thought.
The idea of having food made him unaware of whatever was going in front of him.
When he finished the rice cakes, he heard akiko saying, "You can't use your sharingan for more than 5 hours in continuation. If you do that you'll be totally blind very soon. I see you don't have a mangekyo."
"Who are you to tell me what should I do? What is a mangekyo? What is the matter, why do you care if I become blind? I have came here to bring you to our villege and if you come with me, we can part our ways, and if you don't come I'll...."
Akiko looked at him again, "You will....?"
Madara stammered, "I will persuade you. Persuade. That's what I was talking aaa...aabout."

Akiko laughed hard. She got up from her seat and came closer to him. She sat close and and flickering lamp made her black orbs glow. Madara was not sure what was going on inside his mind. He looked at her as if he could stare at her until he dies. What kind of strange attraction is this?
She spoke very softly, as if she's explaining something to a child, "You see, Madara kun, I am not in a speaking terms with Konoha. They are responsible for my husband's death. He was a shinobi there and they used him as a bait to achieve peace with land of fire. If you are so stubborn to get your feudal lord free of cancer, I think it's better if you don't approach me. I am really sorry. And also hold this."
She raised her hand in front of his eyes. There was a substance that looked like a small vial.
She continued, "Put this in your eyes twice daily. You can increase the durability of your third tomoe."

Madara was speechless. She stood up and went to the previous place she was sitting. She started writing something. Madara was sitting silently holding the vial. He couldn't manage to figure out the words he can say now.

Few moments passed and he decided to go back. Madara Uchiha, losing a fight with a woman, due to her effortless personality. He grabbed the vial roughly and came out of the door.

The village had no house except for this hut. Guessing that these people are the only survivors, and to think that this woman is the wife of Watanabe Izuko, it's not unimaginable that she'd have such a heavyweight personality.

It was dark. Madara started walking down the hill when he felt something very strange, some chakra, but it was filled with enormous amount of malice and anger.
He looked behind to find a man standing in front of the hut shouting something to Akiko. Madara stood there to see what happens.
The man shouted so many things and then he slapped.
He slapped Akiko.
Madara felt his whole body burning with anger.
