"This is so stupid," Eren grumbled as he observed the tinted windows of his BMW. " The 'Honey Bee Factory'?"
He could see the goofy grin stretching from ear to ear on his two idiots, Jean and Connie, from the backseat, as they also stared out from Connie's window. In fact, from his home, all the way here, they couldn't rid themselves of it.
"My sweet Honey Bees, it's been too long" Connie's hand dragged dramatically down the window with a longing look in his eyes. He sniffled and caught the imaginary tear about to fall from his socket. "Eren, this place is legit. Once you have a taste, once won't be enough. You'll be stuck in an endless loop craving their sweet, sweet nectar." His brows bounced up and down as he explained through his experience. "Over and over again."
"He's right," Jean took on a hard expression, further weirding Eren out. "Truth be told, when Connie first showed me this place, I thought it was because of some bee fetish he wanted to share with me-"
"Jean," he calmly but firmly grabbed hold of his lapel. "The hell're you talking about, man? Are you insane? You think that little of me?"
"But!"
"Don't ignore me!" He shook harshly.
He put his hands over Connie's and gently pushed them away. He looked right into Eren's eyes through the rearview mirror. "After exchanging my nectar with a Honey Bee for the first time...my eyes've been opened. There's no way I'll go to any other place now. And those are just experiences with the Worker Bees. Just imagine what the Queen Bee is like."
"This place has a hierarchy system?" he asked wearily.
"Of course there is, moron!" They both twisted back to snap.
"The deeper the door, the higher the level of ecstasy," Jean's eyes zoned out and into the hallway itself.
"Listen up, Eren," Connie started. "You'd better be damn grateful we care about you the way do, because not even I've gotten to make an appointment with the Queen. Royalty like her?" He folded his fist tight, teeth clenched. "Is completely out of my reach. But you and your wallet can make it. You're about to receive the experience of a lifetime. Savoring the sweetest nectar of them all for one. Whole. Hour."
He scoffed. "So this is where you two've been running off to slack off every now and then. Good to know." Eren opened the door, leaving the two frozen. Both feet on the sidewalk, he tilted down his sunglasses a little so he was able to take a proper gander at the building.
He felt a sigh coming on as he walked up to the gate. Both men closed the doors and hurried to catch up to Eren by the time he reached the double doors.
