'Hey Ringo...'

'What's up?' The puppy sat atop Usagi's lap as she took a break from writing.

'Do... Do you think that...' She paused, her thoughts trailing off. 'Do you think that Rei will be in Amegakure, like Shukaku said?'

Ringo's ears flopped down. 'Mm, hard to say... Shukaku has no reason to be lying... He didn't even have to mention the topic... How he even knew in the first place is beyond me.'

The two sat on the couch in silence.

'... So you think he's telling the truth?'

'The only way to know for sure is to go there ourselves, but the exams are in a day, so it's a bit late to go see now.'

Usagi sighed. 'I guess so... But we should go after the exams.'

"Bark!!" Ringo jumped in excitement. 'It'll be so fun going to Ame with you~!"

A smile came upon Usagi's face as she stood up. 'I should make dinner now... Dad'll be home soon.'

'Cool. I'm gonna take a nap then.' Ringo hoped off the girl and made her way back onto to the couch, where she curled up and dozed off in a matter of seconds.

Usagi grabbed her ingredients. Tonight, she was trying a new recipe.

Beef curry with white rice, egg, and vegetables.

Chopping the ingredients, Usagi did what she always did while cooking.

She sang.

"When the lights go out

Will you take me with you

And carry all this broken bone

Through six years down in crowded rooms

And highways I call home?

Something I can't know 'til now

'Til you pick me off the ground

With a brick in hand, your lip-gloss smile,

Your scraped-up knees

And if you stay I would even wait all night

Turn my headphones up real loud
