The king and his men are tracking down a witch that had been causing a disturbance in his kingdom, when they found her Merlin as usually protects the king with his own body and ends up being hit with one of her spells, claiming that he is just tired Merlin goes to sleep but is he just little bit tired or is there something else in it?

"Are you sure that it's this way?" Merlin asked
"Merlin, I've been learning how to track someone since I was a child, so yes I am sure that the witch went this way" the king nodded.
"Are you sure princess? I can see some tracks heading this way" Gwaine pointed out while pointing the other direction.
Of course, he would sigh up with Merlin, Arthur thought.
"Gwaine, I am the king of Camelot, so we'll go this way" Arthur looked at the knight while pointing the other way.
Gwaine and Merlin exchanged a suspicious look with each other.
"Told ya" Gwaine smirked at Merlin.
The other knights and the king were looking at them in confusion.
"Me and Merlin bet before we left who will make Arthur say it first " Gwaine explained.
"Say what?" Leon asked.
"That 'I am king of Camelot' crap" Merlin said.
Elyan and Percival laughed. Lancelot did as well but tried to be quiet while doing so and Leon just shortly chuckled.
"But I am the king of Camelot" Arthur crossed his arms over his chest.
"Yeah... and you're using this excuse for literally everything you prat" Merlin said with a "you see my point" smirk
Arthur was clearly ready to oppose to that, but he rather gave up. He might have a change to somehow win the argument against eider Merlin or Gwaine alone, but not when these two clearly teamed up against him. Maybe sending Gwaine into exile was not such a bad idea, Arthur briefly thought about his father.
"If you're done gentlemen, I believe that our king was right and this is the right way to go" Leon interrupted them. He began to explore the surroundings again and found some more tracks. The other knights went to take closer look. They all agreed that this is the right way and began their journey again.
In Camelot had been few reports of misfortune happening to some people of the kingdom, the crops dying, the animals escaping over the night from the barns, the wells being without a single drop of water for a few days and other similar stuff like that. The victims all agreed seeing an unfamiliar woman close by, before whatever bad thing that happened and they all described her the same way.
So the king knew he has to find the witch and get rid of her, because all she did was make the lives of his people miserable. So 3 days ago the king gathered his best knights and the worst manservant and began his journey to get rid of her.
After an hour or so they dismount their horses.
"Alright, I think we should continue on foot from now on" Arthur decided and his knights nodded
"Elyan you will stay here and keep an eye on the horses" Arthur looked at the knight who nodded
"Maybe lit the fire?" Gwaine suggested.
