I used my portal to teleport right outside of the doctor's house along with David. I knocked on his door and not too long after, he opened it with a sigh. "Who is it now..." He glanced at me with his tired eyes and only then made an effort to smile.

"Sarah. I'm glad you're okay." He said bringing me into a warm embrace, much like a father would give to his children. "I'm also glad to see you too Dr. James." I smiled back as both me and David walked inside the doctor's house.

I sat down on one of the couches and got right into the topic. "Dr. James, I heard about Jason's disappearance... From what I could sense in the whole village, he was indeed nowhere to be found." I said feeling anxious and sad about the matter. "Could you tell us what exactly happened?" Continued for me David.

Dr. James showed us a scowl and stared into the distance, letting out a tired sigh. "Ugh... Jason... That boy is missing 8 days now. The last time I saw him, he was just outside of the house chopping some wood. I had a job outside the village that day. When I came back I was only greeted by silence. I thought nothing of it then, believing he would come home sooner or later... But he never came." I was listening to the doctor's explanation, trying to think of a solution. No one can just suddenly disappear.

"Sarah... I know I ask too much of you... But please... Find my boy Jason." He pleaded with a trembling voice. I in the other hand just shook my head with a sympathetic smile. "You need no worry Dr. James. Jason is my friend so it's only natural of me to help."

The doctor gave me a thankful smile as David placed a hand over my shoulder. I turned to face him and he showed me a worried look. That was definitely his way to reassure me from my anxiety and tell me that everything will be fine. I gave David a weak smile and looked back at the doctor.

"Say Dr. James, do you know any possible place he would go? A friend perhaps?" I questioned him and he seemed to be in a deep thought. "I'm not sure... Ah! He used to go almost every night to that cliff just a little bit outside the village. He would look at the stars for at least two hours..." Answered the doctor with melancholy in his voice.

"That's our first lead so far but I doubt will find him there." Stated David and my fists tightened. "Still... It's better than nothing. Let's go have a look first. If there's nothing, we can try asking the villagers." I suggested and David nodded. "We'll be leaving now. I promise, I'll do my best to find Jason." I turned my head and said to the poor doctor. "Thank you Sarah... I'm truly thankful for your actions." "There's no need to thank me. Like I said, Jason is my friend after all."

Long story short, me and David made our arrival at the mentioned cliff. We tried to look around for clues but nothing seemed out of the ordinary. "Sarah, there's nothing here." Stated David and I nodded. "You're right..." "Let's go ask the villagers." "Let's hope we'll learn something from them."

Sadly we couldn't get many informations from the villagers. "I don't know where he is." "Who is he again?" "Oh you're looking for the doctor's son? I'm sorry but I have no idea of what happened." That, until we finally found someone with a very useful info.

I knocked at the last door of the village and it opened it a middle aged man, giving us a very confused face. "What do you want?" "Have you seen Jason? The doctor's son? You see, he's missing and we are trying to find h-" "I don't know anything. Now leave." The audacity of this man...

"Hey. We are serious about this. At least look at the kids photo." Said David lot letting the man to close the door to our faces just yet. I really appreciate his help. It makes feel a lot better.

"Wait.... Now that I see the photo, I am sure I've see that kid somewhere... " Mumbled the man as he stared at the photo in a thinking manner. "Where?! When?!" I yelled grabbing the man by his shoulder's. "I am sure I saw him around a week ago over there along with another man sticking close to him." Showed the man to our right deep in the woods.

"Is there anything inside the woods? Another village or anything at all?" I asked the man. The idea of Jason being with someone else and heading towards deep into the woods is already suspicious enough.

"Not as far as I know. But I heard a rumour that says, if you ever walk towards that direction, you never return." I shared a look with David and nodded to myself. "Thank you. David, let's go." "Wait are you seriously going there as well?! You may as well die!" "Thanks for your concern." I waved at the man and rushed towards the said direction.

"This is very suspicious. We don't know how truthful the rumors are but we still need to be careful." Voiced David but I paid no attention. "Sarah." "Yeah, I know." "I know that you are anxious but you need to get a hold of yourself." He sighed, concern filling his eyes. "It's just about the person Jason has been seen with. I have a really bad feeling about this." I mumbled looking to the ground. Just then I felt David's hand holding my own, giving me a sense of relaxation.

"Hey... You heard that?" After a while walking deeper into the woods we heard a strange sound. "Yeah..." It was like a continuous thud coming from all directions. Minute by minute it was getting louder and louder.

My head started hurting as if a thousand voices were screaming to me all at once. I tried to look at David only to see that he also was in pain. "Seems lady luck is on our side today." That was the last thing I heard as a man appeared walking towards us with a few other men following behind. I could see them carrying some strange weapons and confusion took over my head. That, until I had lost my consciousness.
