【18.4 AFTER SIXTEEN YEARS】
An edifice tower was erected in the kingdom, gray bricks were highly textured with rough ridges. A few arched windows were constructed on the walls. A pillared balcony was designed around the arched passage.
Adijha rested his palms on the handrail. He was enjoying the cold wind swirling around him. He was a few meters above the ground, and the wind was a bit strong up there.
He took the hood off his head, it caused his dark hair to furl. The lads behind him did the same.
He leaned over resting his crossed arms on the handrail. "Finally, I am back."
He moved his cloudy blue eyes toward the lads. "Tehran, Ivaan...from now on, this kingdom is your home."
Tehran with ginger head giggled, he walked to the balcony. He held the handrail, gasped for air and then yelled clenching his eyes.
"I HAVE A PLACE TO CALL HOMEEEEE!"
He opened his black eyes, a splash of light freckles spread across his nose. He had a pink fair complexion.
He turned around to look at Ivaan. He was standing with his arms crossed. He looked a bit older than Tehran. He ruffled his raven black hair. He didn't seem happy but the exhalation had certainly gleamed his dark black eyes.
"You don't have to be this happy about it." Ivann said.
"I think you should" A voice was heard behind them. It was Zior's, he greeted them with his wide smile. Aslan was also with him.
Adijha was about to kneel down but Zior raised him up by holding his arms and hugged him.
Ivaan and Tehran shared side alarmed glances with each other.
"I'm so happy to see you all good and fine." Zior withdrew and patted on Adijha's arms. He also looked at the lads when he said that. Ivaan and Tehran nodded as a response.
Adijha cracked a warm smile. "It's been sixteen years that I haven't knelt down before you. When I get the chance...you didn't let me kneel down."
"Indeed it's been sixteen years but that doesn't mean you have to bow in front of me every time you see me."
Zior turned to the lads and ruffled their hair. "Who are these handsome lads?"
Tehran beamed looking at Zior but Ivaan, he didn't even care about any of that.
"This is Tehran, and this is Ivaan." Adijha caressed their heads while telling their names.
Zior's smile faded from his face. He looked at Adijha.
"Adijha, you don't know their last names are they...?"
Adijha's eyes became dismal. He replied lowering his head down.
"Yes, His Majesty....they are orphans. I found them at the outskirts of the Sovereign State. That place is now a ghost state."
"You did well to bring them with you." Zior smiled wistfully looking at them.
A convention had been in practice for many years which said that orphans renounced their last names so that whenever they got adopted, they were known by their new identity only.
Adijha raised his head and reverted back instantly.
"My apologies, but I cannot agree with this. There are some things which I couldn't do well. I failed to find Witches. I sent my messenger bird here but I didn't get any response in return."
"We did not receive any messages from you .There could be a possibility that someone killed the bird in the way."
A crease appeared on Zior's face, he turned silent. HOW COULD THAT BE POSSIBLE?
