It was a dark cloudy night in the wilderness of South Carolina. Raindrops fell from the sky above and into the oak-hickory forest before splashing along the ground, making it into a wet muddied mess. Compys were seen laying at the entrance of their dens, watching the rain fall from the sky and onto the ground as a white tail deer was seen resting underneath a fallen oak wood tree. The forest was at peace, with no creature to disturb the peaceful sound of the rain.

until suddenly a utahraptor ran by on the forest floor. It's sickle clawed feet pattering on the cold wet ground as it held something wrapped in a blanket close to its chest protectively. As it ran, the sound of various calls echoed along the forest and through its ears closely behind it. This made the small raptor mental panic. It was being chased by a horde of darkoraptors, following the horde was their 'alpha'. A much larger and powerful darkoraptor that commanded the horde its with loud roars. The raptors split up to the sides upon hearing their alphas orders.

Back with the juvenile utahraptor with its panicked state. As it ran along, It heard the sounds of tapping coming from its sides witch made it quickly look towards the direction of the noise and its eyes widen to see a darkoraptor coming in fast before jumping up, revealing its feathered forelimbs ending with three sharp claws ready to rip and tear into him. But the utahraptor quickly ducked under the darkoraptor with the thing in its arms even more close to its chest. The darkoraptors eyes widen before crashing into a pair of bushes abs letting out a loud yelp of pain. He looked back at the now injured darkoraptor behind it and roaring out as a warning before looking forwards. It's eyes widen to see what looked to be a cliff in front of him. He tried to stop himself but it was to little to late.

The utahraptor began to plummet down the cliff. But before he could hit anything, he would quickly rotate his whole body so it's back would take the hit and the thing in his feathered arms would be safe from the hard hit. Pain filled the dromeosaurs body as it hit the hard surfaces of the rocks from the cliff before what felt like a hour of pain, it finally hit the hard dirt ground back first before falling to its side and accidentally letting go of the thing in its arms.

It was now quiet... the sound of rain was heard splashing along the muddied ground as thunder roared in the dark cloudy skies. The pack that was chasing after the utahraptor quickly stop at the edge of the cliff and looked down at the utahraptor.

He was unmoving on the ground, witch made the raptors look at one other and chirped at each, trying to figure out what to do. Their leader walked towards them and looked down the cliff. After a second of looking at the 'dead' raptor it roared at its pack members, signalling them to turn back. Once they began to leave, the leader looked back down at the raptor and glared, before finally turning around and following back after its team to the base.

Thunder was heard coming from the clouds above as the cold rain hit the utahraptor feathers and seeped into it before hitting its skin, sending shivers down his body. It opened it's eyes and soon it heard the faint cries of the tiny life, it looks carefully at the small blanket.

The utahraptor slowly began to change, its feathers disappearing into its skin before being replaced by human skin, its long saurian head turning into a short human head before it finally turn fully... into a human boy. The only thing that hasn't changed were it's cuts and bruises. The utahraptor now turned boy weakly and slowly turned its gaze towards the thing wrapped in a blanket. He moved the blanket to see a small infant inside, it was shaking from the cold, the blanket was soaked due to the rain, he sighed and tried to get up.

But a sharp pain ran though his body. It felt like hundreds of needles were stabbed into him all at once. The boys red blood slowly leaked out of the wounds of his arm, but this boy was strong. He weakly raised his arms and slowly reached out to the blanket before slowly and gently putting it close to him. He carefully stood up from the ground, he winced and stumbled back in pain, unknown to him, something was nearby.
