Time Skip- Three Months
Cassie's 1st Person POV
"What do you think of this?" Jin holds up a black cashmere sweater against his body to show me. We are currently out shopping, trying to find a cute date outfit for Jin as well as other necessary garments for myself. It's also an excuse to spend quality time with my partner-in-crime during this fine Friday afternoon.
Jin is going on a second date with this guy, Ezra, who he can't seem to stop going on and on about. I love that he's smitten and happy with this particular guy and I hope this one works out.
"Jin, that would look good on you! It's definitely your style. I say go for it!" I encourage him. The more I look at the article of clothing and feel the soft material, the more I I'm sure that I would wear it myself since I love how cozy his sweaters are. If Jin does get this sweater, I'm surely going to borrow it...a lot. He's used to me borrowing his clothes by now.
"You want me to get it because you're going to steal it from me eventually!" He says dramatically and points an accusatory finger at me.
"I plead the fifth!" I jokingly cry out, of course he knows me well. I chuckle and walk away from him to look at a rack of dress shirts, seeing if there are any nice ones that would look good on either Yoongi or Jeongguk.
After Jin finds a couple other clothing items he feels he cannot live without, we leave the men's casual section and head over to the women's outerwear section of the department store. I'm in search of some good jackets to wear when I'm in London.
Yes, London.
I will be leaving for London in three days.
About a month ago, one of my old bosses, Katrina, contacted me about applying for a position under her team. She's going to be the key hairstylist for a fantasy film starring Gemma Chan, Idris Elba, Brad Pitt, and Tom Hiddleston.
When they were looking for stylists, Katrina had thought of me and voiced to me about how she thinks I would be an asset to the team. I have experience working for an indie film and Gemma Chan is a client of mine at the salon, so I did feel like I am qualified for the job. She told me that filming would start in London for about two months, but we would come back here, in Los Angeles, for some of the filming.
I had to immediately tell Yoongi and Jeongguk about this opportunity mainly because I wanted their input on whether or not I should try to go for the position. When I first shared to them about this chance, I was honest and told them I was nervous about working for a long period in a different country and that I would miss them tremendously.
Both Yoongi and Jeongguk told me that they would miss me more, but that if I really wanted this experience, that I should go for it and they would support my decision. Yoongi also pointed out that this experience would be great for my portfolio and can only make me stronger as a hairstylist. So, after really discussing it with them and my moms, I decided to forgo the application process, went through the necessary interviews, and I was hired to join the team!
"I cannot believe you are going to be leaving for two months, and in a city that we were supposed to travel to, together!" Jin says in his melodramatic way as he stands on the opposite side of a circular rack, helping me search for the perfect jackets for my trip.
