Chapter 1: I trust you mom

Izuku Midoriya woke up on a regular Monday morning at his apartment. He got dressed and ready for school, but had to rush because he overslept. "See you later mom, I love you," Izuku calls out as he rushes to the door. "Alright, have a good day Izuku, and I love you too," replies Inko.

Izuku barely makes it into class as he's greeted by his friends with surprised faces because even Mineta made it before him.

Iida asks, "Is everything okay Midoriya? I'm sure you can tell that we're all quite surprised of your late attendance."

Midoriya says, "Oh ya don't worry about it guys I just happened to oversleep hehe." Iida gives a nod of approval and replies back, "Alright, well good thing you're here now, but please don't let it happen again."

"Sure thing Iida," says Izuku. Aizawa gets out of his sleeping bag and lazily says to the class, "Alright everyone, get in your seats please I just want to get this day over with and go back to sleep." The day goes by fairly quick and soon enough everyone is getting ready to go back to the dorms.

Everyone in 1-A has a peaceful dinner and one by one everyone starts to go to their rooms to get their rest for the night. Izuku, though, takes this time he has to himself to work on his other passion, otherwise known as singing and music. He looks down at his suitcase full of music and finds himself at awe of how much music he's made over the years.

He wonders to himself if he should share his music with others, but that thought is always overridden by the fear that he'll be made fun of or that his classmates won't like his music. Izuku sighs as he takes some time to think of his lyrics for a new song that he's been writing. After 30 minutes, he looks at the time and sees that it reads 11:45, so Izuku puts his things away and slips into his bed. It doesn't take long before he falls asleep as a new day is awaiting him.

Izuku wakes up the next morning to his alarm clock ringing. He yawns and turns it off as he gets up and starts to get ready for school. As he starts to head out to class, he is pulled to the side by his mentor, All Might, who says that he needs to talk to him.

Izuku follows All Might outside the dorms to the corner of the building. "Young Midoriya, as you know we'll be going into work studies again pretty soon and someone already has an early offer for you," All Might says before he coughs up blood.

Izuku, shocked that someone already has offered him to intern at their agency, replies to All Might, "Oh wow, I'm really thankful for that All Might, but who is this person that you're referring to?"

All Might breathes in and says, "Don't make a scene okay, but this man was my former sidekick before our split, otherwise known as the hero Sir Nighteye." Izuku goes wide-eyed and tries to hold in his excitement and all the questions he has for All Might. All Might continues speaking though and says, "He wants you to make a decision quickly to see how worthy the next OFA user is, so I'll give you until tonight Midoriya alright."

Izuku regains his composure and calmly tells All Might, "Yes sir, thank you for this opportunity. I'll let you know of my decision later."

The day goes by quickly once again and Midoriya goes back to the 1-A dorms. He is surprised to see All Might waiting there already and asks him what's the reason for his appearance. "Young Midoriya, I hate to assume but I'm sure you've made your decision by now. I am here though because I would like to take you to your mom so you can see her again since you'll be gone for the rest of the week as well as this weekend."

Izuku is shocked but says, "Well yes All Might Sensei, I do accept this offer. I also would like to go see my mom so please let me get ready really quick." All Might nods and lets Izuku finish his business before their short trip to Mrs. Midoriya.

Izuku comes out after 5 minutes and they quickly make their way to the Midoriya home. All Might lets Izuku take his time with his mother as he waits outside by the car. Izuku greets his mom as she's surprised to see him on a Tuesday night. Izuku tells his mom of the offer and she is just as excited for him as he is for himself.

Before Izuku leaves though, Inko tells him, "Izuku I know this is out of the blue, but I think this may be the best time to let your friends learn about your secret talent."

Izuku freezes and looks at his mom in shock of what she just said. "Mom I don't think I should do that because I just think that they won't like my music. Maybe they'll think I'm a bad singer and I have bad lyrics!?" Izuku screams as he panics about the thought. Inko is fortunately able to calm him down and tells him, "Izuku please trust me, your mother, when I tell you that your classmates will love your music, and if they don't then they just have horrible taste."

Izuku smiles at his mom's words as he slowly sighs to himself knowing that he should trust his mom. He finally says, "Alright alright I'll do it, but this is only for you. I trust you mom. Thank you for always believing in me." Inko tears up and gives Izuku a big hug before she lets her son go for the next week.
