Part XVI - Surprise?

    I was skateboarding at half past seven o'clock in the evening.It's been five days since Michael left.I needed to unwind.To clear my thoughts of all that has happened recently.I put on my headphones and "The man who sold the world" by Nirvana began playing.
    I noticed that the houses in the neighbourhood were decked out for Halloween.How could I forget about it?Michael and I had planned to dress up as Bonnie and Clyde.
    Tears streamed down my cheeks and I skated harder and faster with each song note that entered my ears.
    While I was having a breakdown on the side of the road, a rock came into my way and I fell, hurting my knees.I couldn't even get up properly as I saw a big shadow behind me.It wasn't...a human.Because of the bunny ears, I knew who they were.

    I was at a loss for what to do.A part of me thought I should approach them...that I was being paranoid.However, another part of me was telling me that I should just run.If I did that, it would be extremely foolish and awkward.Guess who was in front of me when I turned my head?The man I fear the most.The source of my nightmares.The explanation for my near-death experience and why my life was most likely coming to an end.He was also the reason why I was still breathing...
    The costume he was wearing was rotting.I believe the body within it was the same.
    I noticed his hand lifting, preparing to fight against me as if he forgotten how many times I had called him "dad".I attempted to use my abilities to push him away, but I couldn't.It's as  though I've simply lost them.It's like being a performer who has stage fright.He became angrier and began chocking me while I was trying to scream for Michael's help, but I knew he wouldn't be here anytime soon.My emotions were all over the place.My vision began to blur, but I persisted in attempting to stay alive.I suddenly remembered everything I lost because of him.I can't even imagine how happy I could've been.I was frustrated.I felt as if my entire body was trembling and my eyes began to sparkle in the late twilight.
    He was flabbergasted.It was clear in his eyes.I pushed him over a wall.At the time, I felt quite powerful.I wanted to check on him, maybe he was finally dead.However, as I began to move straight towards him, I heard a familiar voice shouting my name.Was that Michael?
