The swaying of the car is the first thing I feel. The windows of the car are the first things I see through, in which from I can decide the approximate location that I am at. I'm still in Panem; I recognize the dirt road and tall looming piles of dirt and ash, which our district is famous for. What I don't realize is which region I'm in. I've never been to this part of District 12.
The car trudges along.
Suddenly, a cow emerges from the tall fields of grass and.... smiles at me?
The room appears to be the one I took during my first Hunger Games, but I could be wrong. Many cars were made to look identical to the one I'm in right now.
But, the question is: Who took me here, where am I going, what the- wait I guess that's 3 questions----
I've never been more confused in my life.
In walked an Avox. I rose and asked,
“They still make you—“
She nods and hands me my tray. I gratefully nod to her and accept it.
“Which District are we in now?”
She holds up her fingers. 9.
Victory Tour. Flashes of it come back to my. My body launches into a spas,. The Avox takes the signal, tipping her head and running away. I launch myself onto the bed.
The clean white floors unnerve me. They’re too clean. I try to ignore that fact and the fact that my vision is shaky and blurry.
A Peacemaker appears. The face I recognize: it is Gale.
He looks at me and lifts up his shoulders. He has no choice of which that is clear. Gale looks down, unashamed, and grabs a gun from his side. Although when he looks up, his face is smooth, eyes blue, hair blonde, and he is –
Peeta.
At that moment, my aching for Peeta has come back, but just as it comes my vision disappears. The world is black until all the light is focused on him.
This just shows how you can never, ever, ever wish for something you don’t have.
