Valantine's pov
"And how will I trust my little girl wont be hurt or taken away from me? You work for the clave, I don't trust you." I wouldn't just trust my baby with these shadow hunters. Deep down I know they wouldn't hurt her, it was physically impossible to hurt your mate. I loved Jocelyn but she wasn't my mate, I had never found mine but I didn't need a mate now I had my sweet little girl back with me.
I was pulled out of my thoughts of destroying the world if my daughter was hurt when the blonde haired boy I knew as Jace Wayland spoke up, "How about me and Alec stay here for a week and get to know our mate and gain your trust. If we do then she will come to the New York with us for a week, we will pretend that we bumped into her in a club and she didn't know about the shadow world. If we don't have your trust we will visit as much as we can."
"what will you tell the Clave when they ask where you were for a week?" I asked, I grew curious. These two were willing to go against the Clave and say in a house with the enemy just to see my daughter. These two may have hope yet. "This mission was meant to be two weeks long, so if e stay for a week thay will just think we are still completing the mission of finding out information." The black haired man answered with a half smile on his face.
"I will have you two set up in my finest guest rooms but if you hurt my daughter I will torture you to death in front of all of the Circle." I was not taking any chances, just as I stood up to lead them to their rooms I heard a cry coming from upstairs. She i finally up and ready to meet her mates, growing up so fast.
I opened the door to reveal a beautiful crying baby in a cot. The two shadow hunters behind me couldn't take their eyes off her, I moved forward and reached into the cot to pick her up. Her crying seemed to calm down once she saw she was in my arms, I began to then rock her back and fourth till she was fully calmed down.
Once she was fully relaxed in my arms she finally noticed to two boys staring at her in adoration at her adorableness. She looked at her two mates with the look of a baby who was given a new toy and didn't know exactly what it was.
I finally set about introducing them, "well baby these are your mates, Jace Wyland and Alec Lightwood." She then realized she was in a baby room being carried like a baby so began to blush. She beried her herd into the crook of my neck, I looked at the boys still watching her and all of us couldn't contain the chuckle at her red cheeks.
I knew she was nervous so I whispered in her ear, "There your mates baby girl, they love you no matter what. Would you like me to pass you to the so they can hold you?"
She nodded her head silently do I first handed her to Alec Lightwood who looked shocked for a moment but relaxed as soon as she was in his arms.
He held her with such carefulness as if she was a porcelain doll that would break at any second. She raised her head to look at him, this caused a huge smile to form on his face. Jace wyland stood next to him looking at the girl with a huge smile.
She let about a tiny giggle that sounded like tiny bells chiming. Then we heard her tummy rumble, "Hello beautiful how about we get some food in your stomach?" Said Alec.
"What about some waffles, I can make you some?" I offered, her smiling while in her mate's arms. "Yummy daddy"
Even though she didn't mean to, she sounded exactly like a baby causing all of us to stear at her adoringly again.
