WOODZ is a soloist, a member of UNIQ, and a former member of Produce X 101's X1. He debuted solo on July 29th, 2016 with the single "Recipe" under his old solo stage name, Luizy. He began going by WOODZ in 2018.

On May 5th 2020, Cho Seungyoun announced that his official fanclub name would be "MOODZ". The name has three meanings: first, MOODZ is the reverse of WOODZ because "M" looks like "W" upside down; 2nd, MOODZ represents those who love the romantic "mood" of WOODZ; lastly, MOODZ stands for those who want to share in that mood and be his "muse."
