Evan heard the gunshot as he pulled up the drive way of the house he and Delirious had been sharing. Panicking, he jumped out of his car and quickly opened the door. It was unlocked, even though Evan was sure he had locked it when he went out to buy Delirious the food he was craving for. He started shouting out Jonathan's name, but he couldn't hear any reply. His heart raced as he went from one room to another, worry increasing with each empty room he went into. When he finally reached the bedroom, he opened the door and was hit by a familiar smell.

He saw Delirious lying down on his side of the bed, eyes clenched close, his chest going up and down in pain. He had shot himself in the chest, the blood spreading on his blue jacket. Evan quickly grabbed one of the towels that were lying around and tried to stop the bleeding. Delirious coughed up blood, as he opened his eyes and looked at Evan. Evan tried to assure Delirious that he would be okay, but Delirious knew better. He tried to say something, but the pain was too much for him to handle. Using the last of his strength, he smiled as he handed the gun to the crying Evan. He mouthed the three words he had exchanged with Evan just a few months back, before his hand went limp.

Evan cried as he hugged Delirious, his body still warm, as if he was still alive. Evan replayed what had happened the past months. He and Delirious had confessed to each other, deciding to bring their relationship to the next level. They had moved in, and decided to tell the world that they were now living together. They both lost subscribers after that, people saying that they were fags and that they didn't deserve to live. The crew had been understanding, and had done their best to support the two, especially Delirious. Delirious was taking it the hardest, always having that look of sadness on his face, as if he regretted confessing his feelings to Evan. Evan always told him it would be okay, and Delirious would always just smile back at him.

Evan remembered the times when they would upload a video, and just minutes later there would be hundreds of comments of hate and disgust at their relationship. The loyal subscribers defended the couple, but damage was still dealt to them. Evan kept going, and was cheering Delirious on, but Delirious couldn't help but believe that he was the cause. He had asked Evan various times if he wanted to break up, if wanted to just take some time so that their viewers would stop hating on them. Evan only hugged Delirious, and told him that it was all going to be alright.

Evan remembered how Delirious was that morning. He was calm, happy even. Evan was relieved. He had thought that Delirious had finally moved on from the hate that they both were getting. Delirious had said he wanted food, and Evan was all too happy to buy him the food he had wanted. He was so happy that he didn't see the look of resignation in Delirious's eyes.

When Evan drove off, Delirious went to the front door and unlocked it. He wanted Evan to find him quickly. He went to their room, knelt beside the bed, and pulled out the pistol from underneath it. They had bought it after some people actually went to their house and threatened to hurt them both. One came dangerously close, wounding Evan's arm as he protected Delirious. Delirious checked the gun, loaded it, and lied down on the bed, waiting for Evan to return.

Evan let go of Delirious's body, gently placing him down on the bed. He still had the smile on his face. Evan ejected the magazine of the gun, which was empty. Pulling back on the slide, a bullet ejected and landed beside Evan. Evan stared at the bullet, its side glinting in the sunlight that was peeping in from the windows.

Delirious had loaded two bullets into the magazine.

Evan looked at the bullet, then at Delirious. Smiling, he picked up the bullet, loaded it into the magazine, placed it back in the gun, and released the slide so it slid back in place. He wanted to be with Delirious for the rest of his life, and Delirious had given him the means to do so.

Lying down beside Delirious, Evan held his open left hand, their fingers interlocking in a tight embrace. Evan looked at Delirious's smiling face one last time, before looking up at the ceiling, smiling. He closed his eyes, and placed the gun against his temple. The warmth of their intertwined hands, the softness of the bed, and the cold steel by his head were the last things that Evan felt before a pull of the trigger ended it all, reuniting him with the person he loved.

[A/N]

Yet another sad story that I was coaxed into writing. :P This is not a sign that I will be writing more of these and less of While You Sleep. I just thought that it would be a good idea to post stories in between chapters. Also because Sapph makes me write stories like these. XD

I will be updating While You Sleep, so don't you guys worry. :)

Onwards and Upwards!
