Kayla

-Part 1- The Beginning

"Brynlee, hurry up. We're going to be late!"

     My mom yelled at me as I was putting my bags in the car. I ran back around the car and jumped in the passenger side.

"Where am I supposed to drop you off again?"

"Just at the church, that's what they said anyway." I replied

       We drove to the church, I grabbed my bags out of the trunk of our Buick, and I carried them over to where the group was standing.

"Who do you want to ride with?" Tisha asked me.

"You in your car with Kayla and the fun people." I replied

"Ok, then go throw your bag in my car."

      I walked over and put my bag in the trunk, and then walked back to the group.

Everyone was still waiting for the rest of the young women group to show up before we could leave. I waved goodbye to my mom and turned back to the rest of the group. Standing right in front of me was Kayla. 24 year old, a naturally beautiful woman, she was by far my favorite leader. She had medium length blonde hair, and she was about 5'4" and 130 pounds. Bright blue eyes, and what was her biggest insecurity was her larger than average nose. I loved it, to me it's what made her special and unique.

      I had always thought I was straight, until I met her. I fell in love with her and only her, the thought of doing anything with any other woman just disgusted me. Kayla of course didn't know how I felt I did a pretty good job at hiding my feelings, considering she was married with two kids. Also, my parents would never accept me being bisexual.

"Ok everyone let's load up, I think that's everyone." Tisha exclaimed.

       I ran and opened the door for Kayla, because that's just how I was. As far as I was concerned she didn't suspect a thing. After Kayla got in, I jumped in the middle seat. The way Tisha's car was set up, it had a bench in the back with 3 seats and a bench in the middle with 3 seats. I sat in the middle so I was involved with what was happening up front. Right when I got in I hijacked Tisha's bluetooth on her car and connected my phone.

        I asked everyone what they wanted to listen to and no one said anything. So, I pressed shuffle on my playlist which consisted mainly of country music, like Luke Bryan, and Tim Mcgraw. There was also that 5% of my playlist that was Eminem, and Tom Macdonald. The first song to come on was Snowflakes by Tom Macdonald. I sang every word, and to my surprise you guessed it Kayla did too. After a few more songs went by, I paused it to ask Tisha a question.

        "So where exactly are we going again?" I asked.

"Aspen Grove, remember?" Tisha replied.

"Where's that at?" Kayla asked.

"It's up Provo Canyon, they have all sorts of stuff. They have a rope course, and we could go skiing." Tisha explained

"Oh sweet, this is going to be fun!" I exclaimed

                       We drove a for about an hour and a half, and then we pulled up. There were tiny little cabins, and the main lodging area is where we ate and had our devotionals. We went up to our cabin, and unloaded everything. The cabin had 2 bedrooms, and a main sitting area. I had to sleep on the bottom of a bunk bed with a girl I didn't really know, her name was Cara.

      She was one of those really quiet kids that liked to watch anime and such. I will say though, the one good thing about being where I was, is I had a perfect shot of Kayla in the bedroom down the hall. I couldn't sleep that night, because of how cold it was. It was the middle of February up in the mountains with about 4 feet of snow on the ground. I had brought my big heavy sleeping bag, but I was still cold.

"Everybody up!" Kayla ran through the cabin screaming. She ran over to my bunk, and pushed me off.

"Oh my hell, Kayla!" I said laughing

"Hey you can't say that word here"

"Whoops"

I got up and grabbed my toothbrush and walked into the bathroom. I was only in there for like 30 seconds I swear, but Kayla came and started tapping on the door. I just ignored her and finished brushing my teeth. Kayla and I had a weird love-hate relationship; we acted like super close friends, that's why the outcome of this trip surprised me. I hurried up in the bathroom and walked over to my bed to get my sleeping area tidied up a bit.

"Hurry up y'all we aren't going to get any breaky if we don't get down there quick!" Tisha yelled.

We all walked down this little board walk, we pasted the rope course and a pool. Unfortunately it was winter and it was an outdoor pool. Once we got into the main lodging building, it was just one big open room. It had a whole bunch of tables and chairs set up, and then it had a self-serving food bar on one side. Me and Kayla split up from the rest of the group and went to get food. There was so many options I couldn't pick.

"What are you getting?" Kayla asked me.

"Im not sure, I don't know how you would even decide with all this food."

I ended up just getting some bacon and eggs; Kayla got hash browns and waffles.

"Tisha, what's the plan for today?" I asked.

"Well, after we are done eating, we have a devotional and that will take about an hour. After that we are going to go try out the rope course."

"Oh sweet I'm so excited!" Kayla exclaimed.

We finished up eating and went to the meeting room. I sat behind Kayla just so I could bug her and piss her off. I kept scooting her chair forward, and messing with her feet. After a minute I got bored so I fell asleep. I woke up to Kayla whispering in my ear random nonsense.

"Ok ok, I'm up." I said

"The group already left, so you better hurry so we can catch up to them."

I got up, and we walked back to the cabin. I ran up the stairs and hurried and got my snow pants on and we headed out to the rope course to regroup with everyone else.

"There you two are, I don't know why you hurried we are in the back of the line and it's going to be a hot minute before we get up there." Tisha explained.

"Ug great." I said irritated.

Just then Kayla threw a snowball at me and hit me straight in the back of the head. I turned around and ran at her and tackled her to the ground. The whole rest of the young women were fighting and throwing snowballs. One of the other girls came and tried to tackle me off Kayla but I resisted. Kayla threw her arm up to block my snowball and punched me dead in the nose. I wanted to be way over dramatic so I threw myself backwards and held my nose like it was broken.

"Are you ok?" Kayla asked

"I will be in about 3 weeks when my broken nose is, well ya know not broken." I said kind of snarky

What I didn't know is my nose was bleeding very heavily and showed no signs of stopping.

"Uh, Bryn your nose is bleeding!" Kayla pointed out.

"Shit."

"Hey don't say that." Kayla said sarcastically.

"Well I guess I'll head to the cabin to clean it up."

"I'll come with ya!" Kayla said

We walked back to the cabin and went into the bathroom. I took off my beenie and unzipped my coat. Kayla had a few pieces of toilet paper and was helping me Get cleaned up. I got it to stop for a minute, and me and Kayla held eye contact for a hot second.

"Oh I want to kiss her so bad" I thought to myself. "Say something!"

" You have very beautiful eyes" I whispered seductively.

"No not that something" I thought to myself again.

Kayla looked at me and smiled. She leaned in and kissed me. My heart was about to beat out of my chest. I kissed her back very passionately and then she pulled away.

"Lets go sit down" Kayla said.

"Uh ok?" I said still in awe.
