Just the beginning Chapter 1

At your home estate in Louisiana..

    Ring.... Ring.... The old emergency landline in the basement rung for the first time in over a decade.

      Mary (your maid) picked it up. "Hello?" "May I speak to Ms. Banks please, it's very urgent. It's about her parents. There's been a accident." "Yes of course, please hold." She connected the officer to your bedrooms home phone line. "Hello?"

    I arrived at the hospital as fast as Richard could drive me. I busted through the hospital doors soaked from head to toe from the rain, still in my pajamas, crying. I frantically ran to the front desk almost falling over, knocking everything off the counter, spilling pens and other writing utensils on the floor. "Oh my, are you okay? Wait, I recognize you from somewhere? Oh! Aren't you Y/n Banks?" I sobbed even harder just thinking about how I may be the only Banks left. "What room are my parents in?!" I said in a shaky broken voice, wiping away the tears from my chin as though it would make a difference. She quickly typed something into her computer. "234. You can take the staff elevator, it's more private." She quickly walked out from behind the front desk and led me to a red elevator. She used her badge to unlock the doors and moved aside. "Thank you." I whispered as I stepped inside and pressed the 2nd floor button.

  I ran out of the elevator as fast as I could until I found room 234.

There.

   I see officer Gordon walk out of the hospital room while talking to a nurse.

    We make brief eye contact. He puts his hat on and quickly walks over. "Y/n, I'm so sorry but they couldn't be saved." He starts to cry. "I'm so sorry. But there was too much brain tissue lost." He hugs me.

I just stand there

in disbelief.

This can't be real.

I don't even hug him back. I cant think. My legs become numb and buckled out from under me. This can't be real... I can fathom what happened. Or even if this is all real. If I'm real? I then fall to the ground. Hysterically sobbing.

                          A few hours earlier

    "Y/N!!!" I roll over. Ugh it's like midnight on a Tuesday.. "Y/n." My mother jiggles the handle to my bedroom door. "Y/n, me and your father are going out to go see this new movie the Wayne's invited us to. We will be back in a few hours, so call us if u need us! But please don't need us." My mother giggles and then she slides something under my door. I just mumbled an "okay" and fell back asleep.

                           After the movie

    "Oh my, I do say Thomas that was a very good film. I could see why you put 90 Million into it!" They all laughed as they walked into the parking lot of the theater. "Yes I agree, it was very heroic, but the character did seem a bit far fetched don't you think? A villain who dresses as a bat is very peculiar." Martha laughs. "Actually it was Bruce's idea. See he's terrified of bats, ever since he fell down the old well he's be petrified anytime he sees one! He said it would make a great villain." "I see, I understand how he feels. I'm scared of them too." They all start laughing while stumbling, clearly drunk. "Do you need a ride home? One of our drivers could take you."  "No we're okay, thank you though. Your very considerate." They all say their goodbyes and walk back to each others cars.

   They make it back to the car while talking about the movie quite loudly. "Here you go darling." William opened the door for his wife. "Thank you." They both hopped inside the Black and Grey Cadillac. "Driver please take us to the Gotham estate." "Sure thing..." The driver started the car which slightly illuminated the inside. Barbara gripped her husbands arm in sheer panic. "William.." She froze in terror. "What is it darling?" William looked up from buckling his seat belt to see the driver leaning over pointing a small pistol at the two of them. In the passenger seat was the actual driver, stripped naked with multiple stab wounds sprinkled along his chest.
