(Third person POV)
The weekend was coming and Scorpius was extra excited. It was a Hogsmeade Saturday, meaning that Hogwarts students could go to Hogsmeade for a trip and have fun. But what made Scorpius extra excited was that Saturday was Valentine's Day. He was planning to ask his crush out and spend the whole day with them. It was finally the perfect time.

Albus hid in a corner of the library, reading and Scorpius decided to skip lunch to find him. He saw him in the corner and hid behind him, before jumping out and covering Albus' eyes to make him guess who had "attacked" him from behind. Albus immediately knew that it was Scorpius, judging by the giggles he had accidentally leaked. Albus turned around and exclaimed, "Scorp!" He tackled him to the ground and they wrestled around. The librarian did not seem pleased about it and decided to shoo them out of the library.

"Hey Scorpius, it's Hogsmeade Saturday. And it's Valentine's Day too. Who are you gonna ask out?" Albus asked, while settling down onto the fluffy carpet in their dorm. Scorpius knew the exact answer, but decided to play dumb. "Dunno, you?" It took Albus a couple of seconds to get that Scorpius was asking him the question, not saying that he'd ask him out. "Oh uh, dunno either. I thought you liked Rose. You've been obsessed with her since you first met her." Scorpius knew deep down that it was a disguise. He never actually liked Rose like that. It was just a distraction. Besides, Rose disliked him. And he thought she was quite strict and annoying sometimes.
"Oh yeah, uh, her. How did you know I wanted to ask her?" Scorpius replied, lying. Albus sighed, "It was quite obvious. Correction. Too obvious."
—————
Albus pulled his curtains shut. There was absolutely no hope. He didn't have the courage to ask Scorpius out at all. Scorpius liked Rose, his stupid crush-stealing cousin. Albus groaned and tried to sleep, but ended up being deep in thought. "I'm sure he won't like me that way. We're just best friends. Close friends. Just friends," he thought, "He's so charming and hilarious, Rose will definitely say yes to him! Though she'll probably think he's a bit too ridiculous and silly, also he's a Malfoy. She'll think her parents won't be pleased." Albus tried to think of happy things to cheer himself up. He knew that if Scorpius was happy, he'd be happy too, but he'd also feel jealous if Scorpius was dating someone else.
—————
It was Saturday morning. Scorpius woke up early to jump on Albus' bed, mostly just to annoy him. However, Albus wasn't in bed, so Scorpius assumed he was already downstairs having breakfast. He hurried into the Hall and spotted Albus, glumly poking his toast with a knife. He was about to doze off and his face was about to splash into the cereal bowl in front of him. Scorpius immediately rushed to Albus and caught his head just in time, before it landed in the milk.
"Ah!" Albus squeaked, and turned around to see Scorpius. "You almost slept on your cereal you idiot! It would have been hilarious!" Scorpius laughed too hard and fell off the bench, "Ow." Albus laughed at him and said, "No way Rose is going to accept you as her Valentine's date if you're being so goofy. No way!" Scorpius scrambled back onto his seat, "At least you'll always stay by my side, right?" Albus crossed his arms and replied, "Yes, because I'm your very best friend in the whole entire world." They giggled and continued breakfast.

Albus and Scorpius had gone to Hogsmeade together, just as friends. Albus helped Scorpius to prepare for his first date, as if he had already succeeded asking Rose out. He took him to Honey Dukes to get a box of heart shaped chocolates. They met Rose, James and Lily at The Three Broomsticks. Albus nudged Scorpius, telling him to ask Rose. But Scorpius pulled Albus outside the shop to a nice quiet place where no one could be seen. It was a really beautiful sight, with flowers everywhere.
"Why did you not ask her?" Albus asked, gritting his teeth and face-palmed. Scorpius told him to come sit down with him on a bench so he could explain everything. Albus looked confused, but did as he was told anyways. Scorpius turned to Albus, looking straight into his eyes and said, "It's because I never liked Rose." Albus asked, "But why? You told me you did. You were going to ask her out and-" Scorpius shut him up with a kiss. "No," he said, "She was a distraction, so you wouldn't figure out my crush on you. You were the one I wanted to ask out. It was you. Always you. Ever since you stepped into my compartment in first year. So, would you-" Before Scorpius could even continue, Albus kissed him back. "Yes, Scorp. I'd love to."

The two stayed like that for at least half a minute. They gasped for air afterwards. "You have no idea how long I've been wanting to do this," Albus said, leaning onto Scorpius' shoulder. Scorpius smiled and replied, "I can say the same as well."

Rose, James and Lily hid in a bush, looking at Albus and Scorpius through binoculars. "That's my bro," James smirked, "Told you. Where are my five galleons? Pay up!" Lily reached for her purse, "Fiiiine. I really thought that Scorpius would end up with Rose though. He really was hiding it well." Rose looked disgusted, "Never! I always knew his plan. Just look at him! The way he looks at Albus, it's like he's his whole world." Lily gave James and Rose five galleons each and said, "You guys win. I give up." They all laughed and decided to take a picture of the cute scene of Albus and Scorpius. James smirked again and said, "I can finally tease Albus about this. Oh he'll be furious."
