I just stood there waiting for the damn bus to arrive. I was already running late due to my morning struggle of getting out of bed. It was Monday ,lucky me . It was the beginning of windy morning that will soon turn into a storm. I tapped my foot waiting for the bus. I looked at the sky and I knew that any minute now , I would get a free shower. I was getting agitated and mostly nervous. When I was about to give up and call my dad for a lift, I saw lights from afar. I sighed and thanked the heavens for saving me. I lifted my hand to stop the bus, but instead of expecting a public yellow bus, a black Mercedes approached me. I stood still pretending not to see it. After what seemed like ages, the front window opened. I was about to appologize for the inconvenience, when the most beautiful eyes look up at my dull ones. I felt like retard standing there with my mouth opened. This usually happens to me , when seeing something so graceful. His noise was shaped in all the right angles. His face , oh my his face, was perfectly sculptured with rare complexion. It wasn't pale nor yellowish, it was smooth. Oh god, I am describing an ice cream. My train of thoughts was disturbed.
" Miss , are you deaf ? " his voice came out so dazzling yet superiour. I shook my head and replied.
" Oh sorry , no I am not deaf , thank you for asking " how rude was that.
I looked away not wanting to continue this conversation. However, he didn't seem to get that.
" I asked you if you needed a ride " he stressed on the word asked.
I looked at my watch and once again at the sky. I had no choice. It was either this or goodbye future career. I literally had no choice. I am ...
" I don't have all day Miss , what will it be ? "
He seriously has no patience. His voice brings me goosebumps. I looked one more time at the empty road and prayed to God to protect me against anything. I heard the unlock of the front door and sighed. I clutched the handle and slipped inside.
It was warm inside. I felt the heaters on the opposite of the seat. It was sort of comfortable. I looked at him and noticed the way he held the wheel. His long fingers all lined perfectly. I tried to take my gaze away, but it was impossible. He was eerie.
" Are you going to keep on staring or are you going to tell me your destination? " he looked at me and smirked.
His smirk was not just a smirk it was full of sarcasm and mockery. I took a breath and addressed him with confidence.
" Just drop me at the Saint Hospital, it is parallel to Lincoln street " My eyes were kept straight on the window. Plus there was no point in being polite with him. Living in England gives you some perks. Yes, the British accent is one of the main goals, but I didn't even perfect it. My accent sounds like a dying cat trying to sing Celine Dion's song. However, the worst part are the streets and roads. Different names and different routes gets me on my nerves. Therefore, once I dictate the address to someone, I go precise. I drifted my thoughts back to the handsome stranger. He had a good taste in clothes . He wore a black blouse that suited him quite well with a dark navy jacket on top of it. He looked so tense. This guy needed a long vacation. He strong jew showed power and strength. He kept scratching his face from time to time. The tip of his coal black hair fell gracefully on his forehead. I had a feeling, he never brushed it.
I took a quick look around his car. A black suitcase was thrown in the backseat. It was opened. Piles of documents were revealed. He must be very busy person. I returned my gaze back the window and realized that Saint Hospital was in my view . He reversed the car with a force and pulled over, cutting off the engine. There goes the awkwardness.
I held my bag and folder tidily.
" Thanks for ride " I murmured. I was about to open the door when the stranger held my arm.
His touch was undescriable. It was both firm and gentle. I turned around and looked at him. I thought he was going to say something, but nothing came out. The stare felt like decades until I felt him retrieve his hand away from my upper limb. What the hell was that ? He turned his attention back to the window. There is seriously something wrong with this human. I had no time for this nonsense. My interview was about to start in ten minutes. I opened the door and stepped outside.
" Take care Miss . " Were his last words before I heard the car racing away.
