Chapter 39

Chapter 39: Rescue

It's been five days since the incident. I'm totally healed now. Ang buong myembro ng student council ay bumalik sa kani kanilang mga gawi. Zachary became the temporary president and he's leading them well.

No one dares to talk about Shaun. Even his closest friends decided not to talk about him. No matter how many times I asked, they just ignored me.

Fine, if they won't tell me, I'm going to find out where he is myself.

Kakatapos lang ng last subject ay kaagad ko nang kinuha ang aking bag at nauna pang umalis ng room. Kinuha ko ang aking cellphone sa bulsa at agad na tinawagan si Yugen.

"Is everything ready?" tanong ko.

Ilang segundong hindi siya nagsalita. "Yeah, but Keira, are you really sure about this?" halatang may pangamba sa kaniyang tanong.

Mahina naman akong napatawa. "What do you take me for? I wouldn't be the number one assassin for nothing." sagot ko.

"Yeah? Said by someone who just got poisoned a week ago." pabalang niyang sagot.

Hindi ako umimik. I admit that I wasn't able to do anything at that moment. But I'm making sure that it won't ever happen again. No matter what happens, I shouldn't have let my guard down.

"Whatever you say. I'm not going to let that happen again. I'm going to hang up now. Prepare the things I told you to do." ani ko bago pinatay ang tawag.

It took me 10 minutes bago nakarating sa dorm. Ba't naman kasi ang laki laki nitong school. Kulang nalang gawin nilang city to eh. Halos lahat nang kailangan mo ay nandito.

Pagbukad ko ng pintuan nakita ko kaagad si Yugen sa sala at nakaharap sa kaniyang laptop. Inilagay ko sa couch ang aking bag at mabilis na umupo sa kaniyang tabi.

"So did you found out where he is?" tanong ko.

May pag alinlangan siyang umiling. "I don't think so, K. I can't use the code that I usually use. Pano pag malaman to nang mom mo?" tanong niya.

Ilang segundo akong di umimik. I know I will be fucked if my mom will find this out.

I know I have a mission to complete. And saving my target is definitely something I'm not supposed to do. But I can't just leave him alone being tortured somewhere because of my own recklessness. I dont wanna owe anyone.

"Use the code" ani ko. "Ako na bahala pano mag bigay ng excuse kay mom" paninigurado ko.

She's still hesitant but still did what I asked her to. Ilang minuto ang lumipas at sa wakas ay na locate na niya kung nasaan si Shaun.

"Got it. He's at the Darshall Mansion. Underground, Room 003" aniya.

Kaagad naman akong napahinto. Shit, this isn't going to be easy. Entering the enemies den is like digging your own grave. I already went there once and going back there is something only a crazy person can do.

I tried making this mission as quiet as possible. I don't wanna make a scene that can attract my target. It's going to be more dangerous if they will find out that they are being spied on.

Kaagad akong tumango. "Okay, just stick with the plan. I'm going there tonight."

Bakad pa din sa mukha ni Yugen ang pagaalala. I gave her a smile. "Just chill okay? It's not like it's my first time going to a dangerous place. I've done it countless of times, remember?"

Tinaasan niya ako ng kilay. "Well this is not just a 'dangerous place'. This is different from the other ones. Please don't be too reckless, Kira." aniya.

"Alright, I won't. This is just going to be quick." paninigurado ko.

She let out a small sigh and then slowly nodded. She agreed pero bukas pa din sa kaniyang mukha ang pagkabahala. She's always like this whenever I have a hard mission. I'm really grateful to have her as her friend.

Although, I also need to worry about myself. What kind of mess did you get in yourself, Kira?

Alas nwebe nang gabi nang makaalis ako sa school. I tried to be quiet as possible. For months of staying here, I already know where are the cctvs are located so it was easy to get away outside the walls.

Si Yugen naman ay naiwan sa dorm dahil siya ang maggaguide sa akin. We can only communicate through the earpiece.

Ilang segundo lamang akong naglakad at bumungad sa akin ang isang itim na kotse. Kaagad akong pumasok roon at mabilis na umalis.

Habang nagdridrive ay wala akong iniisip kungdi ang kalagayan ni Shaun. Please tell me he's okay. He's at their home so I guess they really didn't punished him that much, right? They are family afterall.

Whenever I did something bad or something that might upset my parents. I also recieve some punishments. I'll just take it cuz I know I deserves it. But not in the point that I was locked out inside a room for a week.

Despite our postion in life. I've always seen my family as good persons. Although my brothers are a bit heardheaded sometimes and doesn't listen to my parents. I know my brothers especially Kuya Kidd are such a assholes but I know they are good persons. They might not show it but I can feel it through their actions.

Ilang oras ang nagdaan bago ako nakarating ilang metro lang ang layo sa kanilang bahay. Nag park ako sa tagong lugar kung saan hindi makita ang aking kotse. Their house is secluded and is away from the city. It's a private location and you can only enter once you are invited.

Sa likurang bahagi ng bahay ako pumunta at tahimik na inakyat ang pader. I can't leave any noise or else the guards might hear me.

"I'm here" ani ko sa aking earpiece.

"Alright, go left and you can see a small window. Enter there." ani Yugen sa kabilang linya.

Kaagad kong sinunod ang kaniya sinabi. May nakita akong isang maliit na bintana at kaagad akong pumasok doon.

I am now inside the mansion and currently at their kitchen. Napakunot ang aking noo dahil wala man lang ni isang ilaw ang nakabukas. Buti na lamang ay maliwanag ang buwan at nakikita ko naman ang daan kahit papaano.

How come nasa labas lahat ang mga guards at wala lamang ni isa ang nandito sa loob.

"Kay, now go outside their kitchen and turn left. Just walk straight and you can see a stairs that leads downstairs. That's their basement." aniya.

Dahan dahan akong lumabas ng kanilang kitchen at lumiko. I'm being cautious at where their cctvs are so I walk to a part where I can't be seen. Ilang minuto din yon at nakikita ko na ang hagdan papunta basement. Still, I can't see a single guard there.

Tahimik ngunit mabilis akong naglakad pababa. Nang naroon na ako. Bumungad sa akin ang napakaraming rooms.

Inisa isa ko silang lahat hanggan napunta ako sa hulihang bahagi na kung saan ko nakita ang kwartong hinahanap ko.

Room 003. Gotcha.

Sinubukan ko itong buksan ngunit naka lock. I knew this would happen so I came prepared. Inilabas ko ang tools na kakailanganin at sinubukang buksan ang lock. Dalawang minuto ang nakalipas bago ito tumunog senyales na nabuksan ko na ito.

Dahan dahan kong binuksan ang pinto. Ingay lamang ng pinto ang aking narinig dahil sa sobrang tahimik ng paligid.

Isang madilim na silid ang bumungad sa akin. Kaagad kong hinanap ang switch ng ilaw. Nang maramdaman ko ito ay kaagad ko itong binuksan.

As soon as the light came back. A gore scenery flashes infront of me. My eyes winded and before I realized a tears flows from my eyes. I couldn't think of anything and immediately rushes into him.
