Outside the ruins

Slightly shaken up by your encounter with not-so-mentally-stable-queen, you exit the ruins and fall into the snow, exhausted. You felt like you couldn't move your legs another inch. The seeming warmness and cold of the snow was comforting to your burning skin. Your eyelids felt heavy and eventually you closed your eyes...

You woke up to feeling warm breath on your face, it was soothing, making you want to go back to sleep. A few seconds later you felt a dog tongue lick your face. "Damn it Kreo-" you felt the dog being pulled off just to rush back and nudge you with its wet nose. You opened your eyes and saw a monster staring down at you. It was a concerned stare, but still maintained a piercing quality. "What are you?" he asked genuinely, squinting his eye sockets. The monster had a long grey scar running down his right eye, a red and black sweater and a black coat with a light blue fur hood. You snorted, confused and amused. "What kind of question is that? You haven't even asked my name yet." he blinked several times, not seeming to recognize the issue with what he asked. "Well what's your name then?" he asked, offering you a hand up. "Y/n" you said taking his hand, he pulled you up surprisingly gently. "That's a nice name" he said, peering into your eyes, you couldn't help but feel slightly uncomfortable- did no one teach this monster about eye contact? He looked away, seeming to sense your discomfort and instead focused on the grey shiba inu that was currently circling the two of you. "This is kreon," he said, picking up the small dog "I call him Kreo though" he petted the dog gently and kreo licked his face. He chuckled and set the dog down. "Are you lost?" he asked, watching as Kreo ran away down the trail. You nod and you can't help but feel slightly cold now that you were in the open air rather than in the ruins. He starts to follow Kreo and you stare in disbelief- he's just leaving after asking if you were lost? He motions for you to follow "this way is snowdin town, you can stay in the hotel if you'd like." as he glances back at you, you notice for the first time that his eyes are glowing a gentle red, and yet, unlike the look in flowey's eyes you can't help but feel comforted by the way he watched your every movement.
