When we got to the aquarium, Rian and David went off somewhere and talked to an employee. I continued to walk with the rest, waiting for their return. The aquarium was beautiful! I saw penguins and sharks before Rian and David regrouped with us, they seemed really excited.
"So, where to next?" Jack asked us. I looked at the map, there was the otter exhibit next to us. I pointed to it and looked at them with the puppy eyes.
"Sure, we can go see the otters." Pierre smiled. I cheered and we walked towards the otters. When we got to the otter exhibit, there were 2 employees there, they stopped us.
"Hey there! Just the group we are looking for. I was told someone here is a big fan of otters?" one of the ladies said. I smiled and nodded.
"Well, lucky for you, we have a surprise for you. You can play with the otters today." my eyes widened and I looked over at Rian and David, they were just smiling back at me. I went with the ladies, we went into the habitat. I was watching as the sea otters were swimming around. One of the ladies handed me a piece of shrimp.
"Here, give it to Tarka." she said as one of the otters came up to me. I crouched down and had my hand out. The otter took it and she sat next to me while eating it. When Tarka was finished, she grabbed some ice and started banging it on the ground and then handed it to me. She continued to do this before sitting in my lap. I had my eyes wide. I was holding an otter.... Oh my god!! I gently put my hand on her fur and she shook off the water that she had on her and made a noise. I looked at the ladies, one was giggling.
"That's her happy noise. She really likes her back lightly scratched." I did was she suggested, Tarka went nuts. I glanced over at the guys, David and Pierre were taking pictures. this is the best day of my life.
