"What is that, freak!?" Gasps could be heard among the crowd that was surrounding Patricia. She was fallen on the sandy ground of the beach, utterly helpless with the attention she has right now. Her right hand was the only thing that keeps her up, but it was the center of attention all along.
A black-haired girl approaches her and grabs her hand. With the darkness of the night and the lack of any good light, they could only see that it's not the color it should be. It also feels hard and heavy, much like a gemstone. Her fingers are sharper than they need to be. Patricia grudgingly withdraws it away and covers it with the gloves she's wearing. "I knew you're hiding something. What is that? What happened to your hand? Are you some kind of human-disguised alien or monster?"
Patricia glares at her, "Do you have to get to this situation to ask about this, Erin?" The latter smirks, crossing her hands mockingly. "Why? Are you mad that you are caught? If anything, I'm the hero here. I saved everyone from a possible alien invasion or something even worse. If it's nothing that bad, you should have shown that to us before. Besides, you like having the attention. Here's your attention, bitch!"
Erin grabs her hand again, raising it up to show it to everyone. The light that slips through the heads of the crowd reflects in her hand. Patricia struggles with her hand. Whispers and chattering could be heard among the crowd.
Their chattering was stopped when a huge wave of wind. It made a small drone that shifted their attention. The small event gave Patricia a window of opportunity to flee the scene. She pulls her hand away from Erin's grip and runs through the crowd. Erin noticed the lack of a hard hand in her fingers, diverting her attention to her.
"Get back here, you freak!" She goes after Patricia and grabs her other arm to restrain her from getting away. Patricia was overwhelmed with pain and tries to get her hand off of her. "Get off of me! I'm no harm!" She pleads but it fell on deaf ears. Erin tries to pull and push her towards the center of the crowd circle. Patricia retaliates and pushes her, but little did she know that she did more than just a little push.
A massive light went between the two, blinding both of them and the crowd. Patricia's heart starts beating furiously in fear. She thinks the police came to them and the blame will be put on her.
The light fades away, giving her a glimpse of what happened. Her heart sank as she saw Erin on the ground, scared for her dear life. She was pinned by sharp and shiny things on her dress with some that are awfully close in her body. Although, some of them got a hit on her, injuring some parts of her body. Erin looks at her in horror, "She IS a monster!"
The crowd starts to panic. Patricia grabs her gloves again and runs away while putting the one thing that is supposed to hide her strange hand. Some of the people in the crowd go after her, hunting her down. She runs up to one of the bicycle stands and hops on one. She started pedaling to escape the embarrassment and horror that is that scene. She was glad that her pursuers didn't continue to follow her as she gets a decent distance away from them.
Patricia rushes towards a bus stop and parked the bike there. A bus arrived at exactly the time she wants. She rushes inside, squeezing through the people. After paying her fare, she rushes on the seats on the back and tucking herself on the corner where she could hide her hand. As she sat, she could feel an intense wave of tranquility inside her. She's finally out of the situation that she was in.
After relaxing her nerves, she went through the things inside her shoulder bag. She pulls out a cream container, strangely with no seal of branding. She spreads some of it on her hand. She watches the cream do its magic. Her blue crystal-esque right hand slowly turns to a normal human hand, just like her left hand. She fixes herself as more passenger boards the bus.
