"Hey, you! Wake up!" Sophia heard a loud voice in her ear. She opened her eyes and lifted herself up off the ground."Finally! You've been out for five hours!" yelled Bruce. "Here's your food." He kicked a tray of goop through a small rectangular-shaped hole in her door.
"Huh? Where's Sam?" she asked, worriedly. Bruce sighed heavily. "He's long gone. Got shot by that wretch."
Sophia gasped loudly, dropping to the ground again. She cried until there were no tears left. This reminded of her of the day her mum died. She cried exactly like that."Sam, no!" She hoped it was all a dream, but verily, just like her mother's death, it wasn't. Although her stomach was practically kicking itself for food, she didn't take a single bite. How could she eat when Sam was gone?
She recalled the last thing she said to him. "What do you want from me?"
That was it. Cruel much? There was a random ruckus going on at the station, but Sophia didn't budge or even care about what was happening. The only thing she could think about was Sam.
"That stupid idiot!" she muttered to herself. She meant this to the one who shot Sam. If he was the same man who killed her father, she wouldn't be happy at all that he was caught. Instead, she would be devastated at the fact that he's still alive and well. For now.
"No, ma'am. We can't do that."
"I AM THE QUEEN, YOU IDIOTS!"
Sophia looked up from her crouched spot. The Queen? She wasn't gonna take her again, was she? Because, surely, prison was much better than the palace; at least for her.
There were footsteps getting louder, and definitely coming towards Sophia's cell. "There she is, ma'am." said one police officer, pointing his finger at Sophia.
"Hey, you! Look at me when I'm speaking to you!" yelled the Queen, brutally. "What the hell do you want?"
"What the- WHAT KIND OF DISGUSTING LANGUAGE IS THAT?!?! YOU ARE SPEAKING TO THE QUEEN AND I WILL NOT TOLE-"
"Excuse me, ma'am. Please do not raise your voice." said one man. The Queen snarled at him.
...
"What? No, I'm not going there again!" Sophia roared, even when she knew the Queen would not listen to her.
"Who said you have a choice in this?" The Queen replied. Sophia scoffed at her comment. The Queen decided to take Sophia back into the palace, to train for the throne. She had no idea any of it was possible for her; especially her being a criminal.
How could a criminal be Queen? And why was she allowing her to be?
While Sophia was thrown into the police car, the Queen was escorted out of the station and into her limousine.
"Darcy, please." Sophia pleaded to one of her officer friends. "I don't want to go.""I know, Soph. But what choice do we have? She's... you know." Sophia rolled her eyes. "I don't care if she's the Queen. It's not fair that she always gets her way, even if it's against a person's will." she rested her back onto the seat behind her.
"I'm sorry." said Darcy as she shut the door of the car. Sophia sighed as she was driven away.
