Megan POV (current day).

I woke up with Evan J standing over me. He then said in a low pitched enthusiastic voice 'Hello there. You've been out for a few minutes but you'll be fine.' I just nodded. 'Evan is over there calling the police.' I look to where he is pointing and nod again. Evan hangs up and tells us that the police will be here in a minute.

Once the ringing in my ears stopped, I got up and grabbed myself a drink of water from the kitchen. Once I felt my throat feel less dusty, I called Y/N and asked her to come over telling her that I will explain once she gets here. I went out of the kitchen and I saw a few neighbours that are not at work walking over to investigate the noise. I saw the old lady who let me know about the commotion coming from my apartment along with two of her grandchildren, Rhys and Marcel I think. I also saw Alex's older brother, Ibrahim and a few other people I recognize from the building. Luckily, Alex's parents aren't here though they will probably be called to the precinct later because how am I meant to tell them that their son is dead because of me.

Y/N POV
Megan called me asking to come over but she wouldn't tell me why. I was starting to get worried. I put my book down, The Song of Achilles, and ran out of my bedroom. Martha is sat on the couch in the living room watching Tommy innit, I think, and I told her that I am going out and don't know when I will be back so that she doesn't stay up and wait for me with the food as I grabbed my flannel that was on the coat hanger and put on my doc martens and ran out the door.

Megan POV
Y/N arrives just before the police. She is wearing the same outfit as earlier. I tell her what happened between me leaving her place and now. She doesn't say anything and just listens, which I am grateful for. After I finish telling her the story she gives me a hug. I was never a big fan of hugs but at that moment I really needed one.

The apartment was charred black with the majority of my belongings destroyed. Luckily, the building did not catch fire. My brain is still a bit foggy from the explosion, too foggy to take much in so I stay with Y/N hoping that she knows what to do.

The police soon arrive and they tell me to go get checked out by the paramedics before they ask for my statement. Turns out I have a mild concussion, some glass stuck in my shoulder, which they take out and tell me that it is going to leave a scar. I also have a slightly bruised right elbow, my left palm is grazed and I have a bit more wounds and bruises but nothing bad enough that I need to go to the hospital for. Y/N hands me a bottle of water and asks me if I am ready to talk to the police officers about what we are meant to do next.

Y/N POV
We went over to two police officers. One is a female with long, brown hair and red dyed tips tied up in a ponytail and the other a male with short black curly hair.

'Hey. I'm Detective Molly Rose.' The one with the brown hair introduced herself. 'And this is Detective Gray Sheep. Don't ask.' I noticed that Molly is holding a dog leash and on the dog leash a German Shepherd.
'Who's dog is that?' asked Megan.
'Mine' answered Molly. 'But since she is well trained they let me bring her to the precinct and to crime scenes.'
'Cool' I commented.

'We are just finishing off here and you can ride with us if you want' offered Gray.
'Yes please' I answer.
'Though once we get there you would have to look out for Detective Ryan Hunt' said Gray
'Why?' Megan asked.
'Cause he's homophobic. So unless you dont want homophobic slurs shouted at you, I recommend you dont talk to him' said Molly lightheartedly and smiled at us. That was when I realized that they were trying to distract Megan from the events. I smiled at Megan, letting her know that everything will be ok. She smiled back. Damn, she's cute.

Though, I'm worried for her. Her son is gone, though she still hasn't explained him, a 16 year old boy from her building is dead in her living room and she doesn't have anywhere to go considering that her apartment blew up. She is also probably blaming herself even though it is not her fault. 'It's not your fault, you know'
'I know. But I still feel guilty and that maybe I could have done something more.'
'There was no way you could have known'
'But ...'
'Not your fault' I break her off, squeezing her hand gently. Not entirely sure when we started holding hands but at some point we did and I didn't mind and considering that Megan has not let go yet, she doesn't mind either.

They told us that they had already asked what happened from some of the neighbours but would like us and the two Evans to go to the precinct and ask for our statements.

We went with the police officers in their car, as I walked over here and Megan is in no shape to drive also her car keys have probably been blown up along with like half of her apartment.

Llwyd POV
Soon we arrived at a small apartment building and this guy took us inside. We climbed a few stairs and I noticed that the door that this guy was reaching for had the number 8 on it. I still have no clue who they are but I do know that they seem familiar. The apartment is rather small with a small corridor, a small living room with a couch and tv and one small bedroom with a king sized bed and two wardrobes. One obviously belonged to them but who did the other one belong to?

Not even five minutes later, a Chinese, masculine but not really person with medium black hair came in through the door. 'Evan, you have some explaining to do.'
