Hello!

With a heart that was pitter-pattering out of wild excitement, Ashwin stood in front of the wide needham gate, drumming his fingers on the curved-top.

The sun shone brilliantly, igniting the land with a jocund glow. White, fluffy clouds drifted across the clear blue sky.

A gentle warmth crept into Ashwin's body. In warmth, there was a sense of rising hope.

Peering his eyes at the view laid out afore him, he scrutinized the lush green area with great ardour so as to grasp every minute detail.

He jolted his head backwards when he felt a pat on his right shoulder.

"Enna machan ingaye ninnu paatha podhuma? Ulla polam vaa." Rakshan said with his ever-enthusiastic voice.

(Is it enough if you to watch everything from here? Come lets get in.)

Folding one of the temples of his aviators and plunging the other into his v-necked shirt, Ashwin quickly followed behind Rakshan.

Ashwin was awestruck at the sight in front of him. There were two large cottages standing majestically. Both appeared to be identical. They were completely made of a certain high-quality wood. Thatched roofs, gnarly-orange wood posts and webbed muyuyo railings added sublimity to the place.

He took some time to notice that the top storeys of both the houses were connected by a little bridge which was around three feet wide and five feet long, separated by a small wooden gate at the middle.

A flight of stairs opened to a big balcony upstairs, which ultimately lead to an inner space.

Downstairs was a large living room along with two other rooms. But the basement of the other house was pretty spacious with only one door at the inside which probably was a room.

The ground was covered with green grass. They moved as a heaven- weaved quilt of the earth. And while they danced, came the song of crickets content to be warmed by the gentle rays.

Ashwin spotted that the backyard led to the woods, creating a backdrop of untold beauty on a canvas that requires the hand of the God.

"Dei idhu Barsana" said Rakshan pointing to the cottage on the left, breaking Ashwin's reverie. "Adhu dha Vrindavan" he continued, eyeing the cottage on the right.

Just when Rakshan was about to pull Ashwin into Barsana, a dog ran towards the doorway, snarling and barking at the new visitor. Looking at its fixed stare, erect tail and head raised alarmingly, a petrified Ashwin hid behind his friend.

"Dei raksha pudra pudra..." he panicked.

(Raksha, catch hold of it)

Rakshan had a good laughter seeing his terrified friend. He moved forward and patted Mowgli's head gently, intimidating him to calm down. With pricked ears, he watched for a moment and then went inside yawning.

Ashwin followed Rakshan inside Barsana, patting his chest and letting out a sigh of relief.

"Okkaru da. Owner madam class la irukanga. Innum oru pathu nimishathula vandhruvaanga" Rakshan said pointing to the set of metal chairs arranged neatly.
