I groaned as I slammed my fist on the alarm, "just five more minutes" I said to myself before falling back asleep.
*Beep Beep Beep*
"Alright alright I'm up, "I said as I turned off the alarm and not the snooze. I yawned and walked to the bathroom to freshen up. on my way, I walked past my younger sister, "yikes you looked like you just got hit by a tornado.
"I know I do" I replied as I walked into the bathroom to brush my hair and my teeth. I walked to my room to grab some clothes and checked my phone. Just 1 more day I said to myself as I continued to pack up my clothes and personal belongings. "I'm going to miss this place," I said to myself as I picked up an old poster and packed it into the box.
As I continued to pack up I checked the time on my phone only to realize it was 11:30 and I was starving so I grabbed my keys hopped into my mini cooper and headed off to Krispy Kreme to pick up 2 boxes of a dozen donuts and a nice hazelnut Carmel latte. The summer air was perfect for bringing down the convertible roof on my car. I enjoyed the cool summer air moving through my hair. after a bit, I arrived at the drive-through and placed my order.
"Welcome to Krispy Kreme may I take your order," someone asked through the microphone
"Hi can I get 24 donuts and I hazelnut caramel latte, Grande please" I replied
"ok your total is 24.98$ please pull up to the next window"
I pulled up my car and grab the donuts and the coffee before driving back home.
As I drove back I was thinking about the cashier he sounded so familiar but I just shrugged it off as a random encounter. As soon as I parked my older sis and younger sis walked out with my Lil sis yelling "DONUTS!! I LOVE DONUTS" I laughed a bit before heading back inside to greet mom and dad. We all sat down telling jokes and shoving donuts into our faces before mom asked me a question " so are you planning to go to college this year?" the mood broke from cheerfulness to a gloomy grey as everyone waited patiently while looking at me. " well I actually go tomorrow-" I replied.
"WHAT" everyone shouted at the same time.
"But you can't go who else is gonna buy me donuts from Krispy Kreme" my Lil sis replied
" Yea and who else is gonna go fishing with me on the weekends" dad said
Soon My older sis chimed in " Cool I get your room instead of sharing a room with her" she pointed to my little sister.
"yea I guess you have a point but I've worked so hard to go to this college," I replied
"I guess that's true," dad said
everyone sighed before heading back upstairs or dispersing around the house. as I picked up the donut boxes I thought about it, only 4 years I said to myself quietly.
I headed back upstairs to finish packing up the last of my stuff before bringing everything downstairs. I sighed as I prepared to cook dinner for everyone. I decided to make the most British thing you can think of, Fish and chips, I prepared to cut the fish and fry it and then peel, cut, and fry the potatoes. after a bit, I finished dinner and called everyone downstairs. Dinner was awkward everyone was gloomy and quiet. I just ignored it. I went upstairs to take a shower and then head to bed. Maybe tomorrow will be better I say as my eyes grow heaving and close before crashing out.
