The Project

Mitch's P.O.V

Bliss I'm in bliss my body in complete comfort and warmth, my head in a pillow made of clouds. Then lightning strikes but it doesn't sound like lightning or thunder it sounds like a high pitched shriek but not screaming it's going.

BEEP, BEEP, BEEP. I'm then jolted awake by the devil himself. My alarm clock I turn it off and get out of my bed, I go over to the bathroom to get ready after a while I zone out thinking about me and my friends Vikk and Preston. Yeah there's only three of us but it's fine cause us hanging out isn't against the rules.The social rules of course anyway we are all nerds for two reasons one we're smart like... ironically stupidly smart two we're all gay your not picked on your just not noticed by anyone and I'm fine with that the less attention the better.

I come back to reality to notice I had gotten dressed and ready. wearing my plain white tee with my red and back checkered hoodie and blue jeans. I really need to stop doing that it's creepy. I grab my book bag and walk down the stairs when I do I look at the clock to see if I don't leave now then I'll leave. So with out eating anything I run out the door to the bus stop. When I get on I see Vikk and Preston Vikk wearing blue jeans and a blue shirt with a half blue half red star Preston wearing black jeans and a baggy plain red shirt they are sitting in the second row that's how it works nerds in the front poplars in the back so they won't be caught doing dumb shit.

"Hey guys " I say cheerily

"Good news" Preston says about to burst

"What?"

"Vikk herd some populars talking, and they said in Mr. greys class we wont have homework for the rest of the month" Preston looks as if he's about to get up and dance

"I don't know if it's true though" says Vikk

"He's right P " I agree with Vikk

" You two are such salamanders " Preston pouts just as we pull up to the school.

We walk in the school together laughing about our weekends when someone runs into Preston. As soon as Preston gets a good look at the boy that ran into him. I look too and see he has dark brown hair, chocolate brown eyes and a blue hoodie. Preston turned bright red the boy stops and starts stareing at Preston, they stare each other down until finally the boy puts his hand out

"I'm Rob" the kid says almost out of breath

"Preston" he says sounding out of breath also

Then we hear the late bell ring immediately me and Vikk grab Preston and rush to our lockers then class. We walk into class late and Mr.grey gives us detention. We go to sit in the last row. Once we sit down with everything situated three more boys walk in rob from earlier a tall blonde kid with navy blue jeans and a white tee with red hoodie. If I remember right his name is Lachlan.

But the last boy he was amazing he had Dark brown eyes that stare into your soul, brown hair I just wanted to run my fingers through, he wore the cutest fluffy bacca hat, black jeans and a shirt that had a tux design on it. He was amazing. But he was popular so all those thoughts immediately vanished. The thing that got to me though was I didn't know his name. Mr. Grey gave them all detention and they sat down

" Okay class good news you will all be assigned a partner project for the rest of this month but I will assign the partners" Everyone groaned at that including me

"The partners are

Lachlan and Vikk

Rob and Preston" I saw Preston smiled at that

"Jerome and Mitch

Sam and Jake........."

I tuned the rest out Jerome Jerome I've heard that name before where though. I'm pulled out my thoughts when Preston shakes me
" dude come on we need to get in partners"
"Is it bad I don't know who my partner is"

Preston laughs at me and points to the boy with the bacca hat..... Oh no I thank Preston and walk to him I sit down next to him he looks me up and down like he's checking me but that can't be because he's popular I'm not. I clear my throat to get his attention

"I'm Mitch"

"Jerome"

We shake hands and Mr. grey starts explaining what the project is about. I try to focus but I feel Jerome's eyes on me the entire explanation I try to ignore it best I can. From what I could get the project is about human reaction we can pick 10 things to do to the other but we can't tell then what we are planing to do after the experiment we write an essay on what we did and the others reaction we can't work on it in school though. Mr. grey said it would ruin the surprise so this class is like a free period in the end we present. I turn back to Jerome and see the entire time he just was stareing at me. I wave my hand in front of his face. he still doesn't move, I clap in his face. Nothing. I roll my eyes and slap him. He seems to come out of his daze but looks mad.

"What was that for"

"You were stareing it was creepy"

"So you slap me"

"Nothing else worked"

He pouted at me and I sigh at him " do you even know what the project is about?" I ask knowing he didn't " yeah" he said obviously lying " whats it about?" I ask wanting to hear his anwer " uhhhh spaghetti" I giggled a little at his response

"Your cute" he says smirkng at me

I look at him with shock on my face " uh-er thanks "

He keeps that smug smirk on his face " you wanna go out with me sometime " I'm completely shell shocked he was so blunt like he wasn't breaking a rule.

"No"

"No?"

"Yes, no"

"Why not?"

He seemed so surprised by my answer like he's never been rejected before which is probably true. It's against the rules to date him but it's obvious he doesn't know that, so I'll have some fun with this. I lean over to whisper in his ear like I'm telling him a secret " your not my type " I whisper in his ear, then I sit back down laughing, he pouts before I continue explaining the project. " So you wanna work on the project at my place" Jerome said smiling I probably shouldn't since all through the explanation he'd been trying his his best to touch me in anyway be it "accidentally" brushing my finger to him leaning in close for an because I "had something on my face." so he could try something but it's a project and he could try something at my house too. " We can work at your place but you have to invite my friends and their project partners" I point out Vikk and Preston to him and he looks at the people they are working with. "I'm cool with that people their working with are my friends Rob and Lachlan." three populars working with three nerds this should be good...
