inspirations
— to start off, there are many things that inspired me in the writing of this book from time to time. first of all, a dream i had ages back and i just knew a character as deep as taehyung would deem perfect for the story. fun fact, taehyung's character took almost 6-7 months worth of planning.
— as for lisa's character, i had to dig into my archive and here's where i got the second inspiration. this is not exactly a self promo but i just wanted to admit that i got inspired by one of my past works, "her"(it's a liskook oneshot in one of my fic collection series—10,000 hours). both stories aren't related but run somewhere in parallels in the same theme so you don't necessarily have to read that oneshot to understand this one.
— there's a poem, i don't know how many of you are aware of it. written by emily dickinson, it showed up on my twitter some months back and can't deny that i'm absolutely in love🤍

a/n (birthday special?)
a little acknowledgment to all my taelice readers who have endlessly supported my previous works in good faith. i wanted to express my gratitude with you through this fic that was supposed to be out on my birthday (27/04) but me being me, i procrastinated writing cause i had to deal with some personal trauma and the combusting stress pertaining to my final exams following up only a week after that 🫠 sincere apologies for the same. so if y'all are still reading this, you're in for a belated present :D
before starting the book, i wanted to add in a brief detail that this might be one of my personal favourite plots in the whole of my writing career considering how long it took me to brainstorm the whole story. initially i was thinking to make this into a series but as the draft aged, my ideas got condensed into writing a long one shot which might be a little too angsty to bear (or it's just me overthinking, i don't know). i've dropped in a little preview in the next chapter before i acquire enough confidence to complete (remaining 60% of it🥲) and release the full-length fic cause my anxiety is eating me up lol.
