Chapter one

My firstday of high school! I was so excited to be a freshman at manatee high school. I couldnt wait to see all my friends again. I didnt see them all summer. I only saw my two besties my friend taylor and my best guy friend Hunter. I have known both of them for years. I have been planning my first day of high school for years! I had the ideal outfit in my head for years. First let me tell you a little bit about myself. My name is Lacy Marie Zigler. I am fifteteen years old and my birthday is june 22. I have blond hair with blue eyes. My hobbies include basketball, dance, cheer and shopping. I live with my older brother, jermany, and my abusing parents. They started abusing me when I was seven years old. Anyway... I had my high school outfit planned out for years, I went shopping with my best friend because I didn't want to go with my parents. I had picked out a pink no sleeve crop top with a high waist white skirt with roses on it. Then I had pink heels with flowers on them with silver hoops and a bracelet. I painted my nails pink to go with the outfit. I decided to take a quick shower. I used my strawberry banana body wash/ scrub and shampooed and conditioned my hair with strawberry soaps. When I got out I put a little bit of mascara on and lip gloss. I decided to stop at Starbucks on the way so I wouldn't have to wake my parents. That would be bad. I live so close to MHS so I walk their. Luckily Starbucks isn't far from their. When I arrived at Starbucks I saw hunter their. I almost screamed. I have liked him for a while and I hoped that he liked me back. He saw me and his eyes lit up. He walked over to me. "Hey lacy" he said. He offered to pay for me so I said yes. I ordered the usual, peppermint mocha grande with a croissant. He gave me a ride to school so I wouldn't have to walk. My first words were WOAH! The place was huge! I saw a booth with the words FRESHMAN in big bold letters. I went to that booth. It was were we got our schedule and picked our electives. My schedule was the normal schedule and I picked PE. I was really nervous because it was my first day. When I FINALLY found my locker I saw my friend ophelia and harley had lockers right next to me. I smiled at them and they gave me dirty looks. I didn't imagine why. The rest of the day went pretty well. Then we had a assembly at the end of the day. It was informing us about all the clubs and activities they had. They explained to us that we were able to do three things at a time. First come first serve. They dismissed freshman first and since I sat in the back, I was first to see the list. I saw stuff like soccer, chess club, sugar canes, cheerleading, lacrosse, basketball and so on. The only things that sounded fun were basketball and cheerleading. It said that we had to get a parent conset form. I knew that my parents wouldn't sign anything so I knew that all options were out of the question. After the assembly school ended. I was sad it did. I didn't want to go home to my " loving" parents. When I walked in the door I heard my dad scream LACY MARIE ZIGLER. I could tell that he had been drinking so I knew that tonight was going to be bad. I walked into the room to see my dad, siting with a bottle of beer, watching t.v. Yes dad, I replied, " WERE WHRE
YOU ALL DAY! He questioned. "At school" I replied. He got up and slapped me. I asked him why and he did it again but harder. He didn't answer so I just went up to my room and fell asleep.
