After a long day at school at UCLA and s full shift of working at Starbucks, I finally headed back to my room. As I opened my door, the faces of my beautiful celebrity crushes pasted all over my dorm walls welcomed me. No matter how bad or tiring my day was, they always made it better. The walls of my side of the dorm are filled with posters of the beautiful kpop stars that I adored.

My roommate is rarely in the dorm because she lives really close to campus. Sometimes I wonder why she even applied for housing but I don't mind because I get the whole room to myself. I have a ton of work to do today and sometimes I just wish that I wasn't a student. As I lay on my bed I think of how cool it would be to become a kpop artist, it's probably a little too late for that because most kpop trainees start when they're like 10 to 14, and I'm 22 which is about the age the kpop trainees debut.

I sigh tiredly at the thought of my dreams being crushed. Looking at the package I got from my mailbox, I see that it's from my grandma in Paris. I open the package and there's a note that says "hey darling this will probably get to you a little late so happy late birthday Sophia I love you so much. -Grandma" (but in Korean; I'm half Korean if you haven't already come to that conclusion)

My birthday was last week Wednesday and I went on a huge shopping spree for kpop albums with my friend Ella, so now I'm essentially broke. I had thought that grandma had forgotten but I guess not. I open the pouch that came in the box and what is inside is beautiful, It's a silver necklace with a circular dark blue pendant.

I immediately call my grandma, forgetting about the time difference, and obviously, she doesn't pick up. As I put the necklace on, I rub the blue pendant, admiring its beauty. Suddenly the necklace's pendant gets hot and immediately I let go of it. A cloud of light pink smoke started coming out of the necklace's pendant.
