"Everyone should be able to do one card trick, tell two jokes, and recite three poems, in case they are ever trapped in an elevator."
~ Lemony Snicket
"Uh, Miss Eyde. A man is here to see you" the assistant said, leaving as fast as he arrived.
"Miss Beatrice Eyde, what a pleasure to meet you" the man came waltzing in, already acting like he was of a higher importance than what Beatrice held him at.
He held out his hand, and she reluctantly shook it. "I have a business proposition for you, Miss Eyde" he started.
"Go on" She replied, settling back in her chair.

The elevator dinged as it's doors opened up. Beatrice Eyde, she had short hair, it reached only just above her shoulders. It was mainly black, but had a white strip, going all the way down, it was curled slightly. She then wore a white button up shirt, and plain black pants, along with a long black coat and scarf, with small black glasses and pens, whilst sporting a large green satchel which hung from her shoulder and wireless headphones that hung around her neck.
She stood next to Zack Bakshi, he came to her with a interest in a certain company, more specifically a game. 'Mythic Quest' she thought, it was a MMORPG game, she had only played it a few times, but It seemed good all things considered.
"Oh, I'm so excited!" Zack shouted, the elevator had only just hit the requested floor. "Aren't you excited?" He asked.
"Well, yes I suppose, but I have been here before" she replied.
He clapped his hands whilst laughing. He then stepped out of the lift, and was met with smiles and even a few claps. "Oh, no need everyone! Me and my friend are just happy to be here!" He said, whilst pointing to Beatrice.
A man came out of his office, "Oh My God! Its Zack, how have you been brother?" He asked, wrapping his arms around Zack.
"Not too bad!" Zack replied, laughing whilst talking.
At that moment, another man stepped into the room. He was tall, he had curly black hair and he wore a blue jumper, a button up collar peeking through at the top. And plain grey pants
"Brother!" Zack exclaimed, holding his arms out towards the taller man. Although, Zack didn't get a chance as the other man walked into a office.
"Oh! There he goes again, Brad getting all moody because you're here. You'd think he'd grow out of it by now." David said, laughing.
Zack joined in, and a few others too. Beatrice was conflicted, she didn't know this man, and there wasn't any gain on her side from defending him from the endless insults that kept coming through.
She interrupted the conversation as soon as their was an opening, "shall we get started then?" She asked. They all turned to look at her, confusion written all over their faces.
"Who even are you?" A woman in the corner asked.
"I'm Dr. Eyde, I have a meeting here with David?" They still looked at her confused, though, the man who was standing close to Zack made an 'oh' with his lips before walking up to her.
"Hi, yes sorry. I'm David Brittlesbee, executive producer" he reached for her hand and she shook it before walking on.
The others got bored quickly, as Zack paid more attention to Beatrice. She went to step up the set of stairs leading to the tallest office, but David quickly got in before and led her in. "Lack of authority" Beatrice muttered.
"Huh? What was that?" Zack asked. She ignored him, hoping he would drop the subject. He looked at her for a moment, before resuming his attention on David.
They all sat down at the desk, "so, what's the issue?" David asked.
"Oh, well-" Beatrice tried to speak, "well basically, we would like to talk about my brother" Zack cut her off before she could finish her sentence. "I'd like to talk about my brother". As soon as she heard him finish his sentence, she turned to look at him.
He turned to look at her and smiled, although this smile was alot less friendly than the ones he previous presented people with. She was about to speak again, but the phone started ringing and instinctively, David went to pick it up.
"Oh no! Well, sorry but can we postpone this meeting". Zack went to reply to David, but luckily Beatrice was able to speak first this time.
"Yes, Its fine. I'll email you when I'm free". She immediately got up, grabbed her bag, and left. Leaving Zack in David's office.
She walked along the long corridor, putting on her headphones and playing music to drown out the irritating noises of machinery. She walked straight into her office, it was bare at the moment. There was a single coat rack standing tall infront of the door, she took off her coat and scarf and hung it up.
The next thing you could see was various paint strips on the walls, and lots of paint cans stood in the corner, untouched besides to overall opening and testing of the colours. There was boxes stacked up against eachother in another corner, with many different labels drawn on them in black marker.
She then opened up a box, pulled out some clothing, and walked into a unlocked cupboard, it was large and white, just like the room, she eventually came out wearing a blue smock covered in paint.

It had been over three hours, and the whole room was finally painted, including the cupboard. She walked over to the windowsill and checked the time on her watch. '4:52' it said, she had another meeting in approximately thirty minutes.
So, she walked back into her new wardrobe, and put back on her regular clothes before stepping out and grabbing her bag and heading over to meeting room B.
