Chapter Thirteen:

“Blaze? Blaze… is there a mirror anywhere?” Fallen’s eyes went wide once more as she looked at her sister. She now noticed the changing of the eyes.

Blaze looked over at her sister, her eyes flashing from blue to green as she became worried. She thought to herself, had something changed?

“Yeah, there’s one down the hall. Come on,” Blaze quickly said this, taking her sister’s hand and bolting from the room.

“What if Korse finds me?!” Fallen planted her feet on the stone ground, making Blaze stop.

“If he does, he won’t do anything to you. I can assure you that, he won’t be laying one hand on my sister,” Blaze’s eyes quickly flashed to blood red, as hatred filled her veins. She was extremely protective of her sister. And she was well aware that Korse might inject her too. But if he would try, she would stop him.

“Now come on, I want to know what you are talking about, okay?” Blaze’s eyes returned to normal. She eyed her sister carefully, and a few seconds later, she nodded and started walking behind Blaze. Her hand never left her sister’s, but instead tightly gripped it. Neither of them wanted to lose each other again.

As Blaze turned the corners, she thought about how there might be a quicker way on getting to the mirror. If only she could walk through walls, she thought to herself. But then something, something strange, happened.

Blaze walked right at the wall, and she went through it. As well as did Fallen, who was whispering things to herself about how insane that was, and how the hell it was possible. As she, well they, emerged from the other side of the stone brick wall, Blaze stopped and stared at the wall.

“Did… did you just walk through the wall?” Fallen gaped at her sister, star struck.

“Actually, we both did. Try walking through it again… I want to see something,” Blaze pursed her lips, removing her hand from her sister’s.

Fallen gave Blaze a questioning look, but did as Blaze said, and sure enough she walked right into the wall, cursing to herself when she hit her nose and forehead.

“Dang it, don’t make me do that again. I almost broke my frickin’ nose, thanks to you,” Fallen mumbled as she caressed her throbbing nose. Blaze couldn’t help but laugh at this.

Fallen gave a glare at her sister, but sighed a second later, and was now rubbing her nose. Blaze, on the other hand was looking at her hands. She held up her right hand, and gaped at it as it went clear, invisible. She heard a gasp from behind her, and automatically knew it was Fallen’s.

Blaze kept starring at her hand though, and then tried to lay her hand on the stone wall, but it just went through, as well did half her forearm. So that’s how they walked through the walls, Fallen thought this to herself as she watched her sister disappear for a couple second into the wall again.

All of a sudden, a hand emerged from the wall. It was Blaze’s, still invisible, but the outline of it was visible.
