The Avengers were all in the tower in the meeting room. Tony and Steve were fussing over who should take care of Bucky and if he should stay in the tower. Steve and Tony had yelling for hours."He's an assassin that could kill us any minute if someone says the right words Steve!" Tony yelled.
"He's also my friend! I'm not going to let him be locked up in a cage like a chained animal Tony." Steve said.
"Alright then, let's put it to a vote. If I win he gets put in a guarded room watched under 24 hour surveillance. If you win he gets put in your care and stays with you in the tower." Tony said looking at the Avengers.
"Fine." Steve sighed. "All those in favor for Tony's choice."
Rhodey, Clint, and Bruce sided with Tony.
"All those in favor with me." Steve said looking at Tony's dismay.
Wanda, Vision, Natasha, Thor, and Sam sided with me.
"You win Rogers, but don't say anything when you find out I'm right." Tony huffed. "Whatever." Steve said and rolled eyes.
Steve walked over to the elevator and down to his room where Bucky was. Bucky was sitting down on the couch and there was no light in the room beside the moonlight.
Steve would be lying if he said that Bucky didn't startle him."I assume you already know what happened." Steve said turning on a lamp.
"Yeah. I could hear you and Tony through the walls." Buck said as Steve felt guilty since it was 9:00 when he saw Tony and now it was midnight. Bucky probably wanted to sleep."I didn't intend I'm be that loud. Sorry Buck." Steve said looking like a sad puppy.
"Don't be. I don't like to sleep anyways." Steve quirked a brow at Bucky's answer but decided to leave it."I'm going to take a shower. If you need anything just holler for me." Steve said suddenly. Bucky just nodded and stared at the floor.
After about 15 minutes Steve came out of the shower and surprisingly Bucky was still awake and sitting im the same position staring at the door now.
Steve could tell Bucky was sleepy by the way the brunette's eyes were twitching and by the way he was leaning against the couch.
"Buck are you sleepy?" Steve asked him breaking him from the stare. "No. I don't need it." Bucky lied. He did need sleep he was up for the past week because he was scared HYDRA might come after him. He didn't get more than 4 hours when he did sleep because of nightmares.
"Buck you need sleep and I'm not going to let you sleep on that small couch. Your back will be hurting in the morning if you sleep on the couch." Steve said as he patted a spot on the bed beside him.
Bucky tensed up. He didn't want to get on the bed. It reminded him of what HYDRA did to him. But Steve was right, sleeping on the small couch sounded worse than sleeping on the bed.
Bucky didn't know much about Steve but he knew Steve was important and he knew he used to be his best friend and can be trusted.
He sighed and laid down at the end of the bed deciding that was as close as he would get on the bed.
"Night Steve."
"Good night Buck."
