The Sultana sat down in a chair. We are here at the Palace Library, as in Africa, she decided that we will talk here.
I was just waiting for her because she was talking to someone on the Phone. While she was busy with her phone I was just standing here and looking at the books.
I can’t count how many books there are, all I know is that it’s probably the most extensive library I’ve seen in my entire life.
I picked up a book and read the title. It was the book of Romeo and Juliet. There is also a romance book here. Another one I picked up was World of Monsters and Einstein’s book.
I love reading books and I'm just happy because the ones here are first editions. They are the original copy and I won't wonder why.
One book caught my attention. "Pretending". I smiled because of the title. What is the content of this book? Is it about impersonations?
"I've read that book and I can't count how many times". A beautiful voice spoke from behind me.
"That's why this book is just up front". I said back. I opened the book and a letter fell.
The Sultana immediately picked up the paper and took the book from me. I was just surprised when she suddenly took the book in my hand.
"What are your plans for today Mr. Ferderico?". She asked me. I walked over to the table and got a wine glass to pour.
"What do you want me to teach My Sultana?". I asked her back. She smiled. Even with the hijab all over her face I knew she was smiling.
"Honestly, I already know everything about Art. I once had an Art mentor, he was a very good artist but he's gone, he died in an accident.". She said. Now The Sultana opened the book and she came to page 248.
"The poem here on this page is one of his favorite poems. He even signed it so that even if I read this book over and over again I can always read the poem and see his signature.". She whispered. She stroked the book and the signature that was there.
"He was kind and great, he taught everything to me, everything you taught me in the past few days I have known for a long time, deep inside me I know everything, but it disappeared when he disappeared". She whispered but I could still hear.
"I am sorry to hear that My Sultana". I said to her. I put wine in a glass and handed it to her.
"It's been a long time and I've forgotten every detail, that's why you're here now, to remind me what I should remember, to teach me what I should do". She walked over to the book shelf and laid down the book along with the paper.
"I'm happy that everything you learned from him came back because of me coming here, My Sultana". I said to her.
"You're right. I remember everything but there are things that can't be undone. There are things he taught me and now you can't afford to give. But don't worry Mr. Ferderico. You taught a lot that he wasn't able to teach at that time". She said at length.
"The important thing is, you didn't hurt me like he did". She whispered. But I heard. The Sultana turned to drink the wine.
"I have something I want to tell you-".
"I have something I want to show you-".
We looked at each other because we spoke at the same time. I smiled and scratched my head.
I just wanted to tell her my plan to take her blessing and say I would marry Zabea, because until now I couldn’t get her out of my mind.
Even in my dream she visits all the time and I can’t bear that Zabea is not by my side for life. I have already decided that I will give everything just to be with her.
