Chapter 5: The Competition

Lan Qiren's POV

Ok so today is the day of the competition, all the young lads are going to compete against the other sets, I hope Lan Zhan and Lan Ying can win, Lan Xichen can compete but he is competing against some kids of the other clans around his age.

Lan Ying's POV

Is the competition today and I am so nervous, me and Lan Zhan have been practicing a lot our secret moves. I finally the other Sects I don't remember their names but I just recall one, it was the Jiang Sect. I was against Jin Zixuan apperantly let's see how good this guy is.

Announcer: OK FIRST COMPETITION IS LAN YING VS JIN ZIXUAN, GET INTO YOUR POSITIONS

I was nervous I think I just forgot the whole Lan Clan sword style oh boy

Lan Zhan: *hugs him as his ears turn red* Y-you g-got this, I believe in y-you

Lan Ying: Thank you Lan Zhan *walks towards the arena and gets into the formal position*

Announcer: OK 3, 2, 1, START

My opponent just came straight at me with the wooden sword pointing in the middle I blocked that with my sword and dodge him easily, but he is quite fast at this point I was way to concentrated that I forgot to breath for a second I am not gonna lie. After a few seconds I realized I was way to slow I kept dodging and striking, but there was no.... movement. After a bit more dodging and striking I got pushed back and it felt like time was still at that moment, I took a look at his movement and how he is holding is sword, now what time feels like is still, his movements are slower, so I took the wooden sword and striked him with a really fast hit that it didn't even give him time to react.

Jin Zixuan's POV

Huh I just pushed him back, but how did he recover so quickly he rised his and went straight at me and I didn't have anytime to react and I got pushed back. I went straight at him again, but then I realized he was faster than before until I saw him do something I never seen before.

Lan Ying's POV

I was going to do the trick that me and Lan Zhan practiced for so long, because he was cut off guard for me to have enough time to do it I threw my sword in the air did a small cartwheel, then a backflip I caught the sword with no problem then I got the sword out Jin Zixuan hand and touched him.

Announcer: LAN YING IS THE WINNER OF THIS ROUND A POINT FOR LAN SECT

Oh boy I don't even know how long that took and I am probably gonna find out later on.

Lan Zhan: Wei Ying you did really good *hugs him*

Lan Ying: Thank you Lan Zhan,*hugs him back* I am pretty sure you will do good too when is your turn

Lan Zhan: I hope so I been training so hard to try to win the competition

Lan Zhan's POV

I don't know how many round has it been I lost count, right now I am against one of the Wen Clan members, it is down to the last few sect members the last few rounds only remained Wei Ying, Wen Chao, Jin Zixuan, and Jiang Cheng. Jin Zixuan is fast but doesn't have much strength on the sword, Jiang Cheng is strong his speed just needs a bit of practice, Wen Chao is just a cheater, he actually sucks at swordman ship but whatever.

Announcer: GET INTO YOUR POSITIONS

I got in the former position and he is not even holding the sword right like please, he came straight up to attack me but he was SO SLOW, he nearly twisted my hand but I luckily avoided it others didn't get so lucky... He still was coming at me I really didn't try as bad but he caught me of guard so I had no choice but to do the trick that I have been practicing with Wei Ying (YES LAN ZHAN LIKES TO CALL LAN YING, WEI YING BECAUSE WHY THE FRICK NOT :D) I threw my sword as fast as I could got jumped on top of huh him and grabbed my sword and touched him.

Announcer: FIRST PLACE IN THESE YEAR'S COMPETITION IS THE LAN CLAN, SECOND PLACE JIANG CLAN, AND THIRD JIN CLAN

Lan Ying: You did it Lan Zhan *hugs him*

Lan Zhan: T-thank you

Lan Ying: I am going to get some water for the both of us I will be right back *runs to get water*

Wen Chao: *walks towards Lan Zhan and pushes him* I should have won but that dumb trick you did there made me lose you cheater

Lan Zhan: Y-You twisted people's hand, and that is against the rules.

Wen Chao: *hits him* SHUT UP (YOU BI*CH)

Lan Ying: *sees Lan Zhan on the ground when Wen Chao hit him drops the water out of chock*

Wen Chao: You are useless, I bet your mom doesn't even love you

Lan Ying's POV

I officially lost it I was so angry that my veins were so visible at this point, but I was not the only angry one I could see Lan Xichen's anger increase by seconds.

Lan Ying: *runs to him and punches him* YOU ARE USELESS LAN ZHAN IS FAR FROM USELESS HE IS AMAZING, BETTER THAN YOU PIECE OF TRASH *Hits him again* (YEA GET HIM WEI YING)

Lan Xichen: *Pats a crying Lan Zhan* Wei Ying if you please bring my little brother to the healing center I will talk with Wen Chao

Lan Ying: Mhm *picks up Lan Zhan and heads off*

Lan Xichen's POV

Lan Xichen: For your information my mother loved me and Lan Zhan a lot she loved us more than your ego, which is surprisingly high (LOL LAN HUAN)

Wen Chao: SHUT U-

Lan Xichen: *kicks him in the guts and walks away* (ouch but he deserved it so idc :)

I was so mad he told those awful things to Lan Zhan and he was so sad right there, we haven't seen her in a while because the elders said she was gone we were both wondering where did she go but doesn't matter I know she will be back (poor babies q-q)

At the health center

Lan Ying: Don't worry, he is useless trash

Lan Zhan: *calmed while hugging Wei Ying still sobbing a bit* O-ok

Lan Ying: Lan Zhan I want to protect you all of my life from no matter what *kisses cheeks*

Lan Zhan: Will you stay with me forever Wei Ying till death?

Lan Ying: I promise I will stay with you forever, I will marry you if needed to stay with you forever (awww this is so sweet I am getting cavities qwq)

Lan Zhan: Ok *hugs him for a bit more till falling asleep*

Lan Ying: *falls asleep a long with him*

They are so cute, I want Lan Zhan to be as happy as possible and Wei Ying is doing perfect at that. I am still wondering where did mom go?
