I wake up in the van with a headache. It's a 70's dodge van and there are no seats in the back which means I was able to make a bed in using 3 pillows and a few comforter blankets to try and make the hard vans metal floor more comfortable. I know you're thinking it's pretty cheap and ghetto, but I mean it's the only thing my band and I can afford in a economy like this. Brian and Joseph are sitting in the passenger and driver seat. Joseph driving with a smirk on his face and Brian chuckling in the passenger seat after they hear a thud in the back making them believe and know for a fact that I hit my head on the wall of the van.

"you okay back there kid", Brian asked

"ya, i'll be fine" I rubbed my head and grabbed my phone and looked to see if I got any notifications.

We were on our way to open up for my favorite band Sleeping with Sirens in New York. I was really excited for it even though we have been performing with them for months now, but this one was special, it was our final night.

2 hours later

After being thrown around like a rag doll in the back of the van, we finally made it to the venue. I wasn't really the one for socializing, so before we got down I popped in my earbuds and played one of my favorite songs.

Shake the Ground - Cherri Bomb

I really liked Cherri Bomb, and had the pleasure of meeting them as well as being put on a tour line up with them a couple years ago. Although since then I heard that they weren't doing do good. They kicked out their front woman Julia and hired a guy to play in the band with them. Then according to their instagram account and what Rena texted me, they are signed to a new label after Hollywood Records dropped them. I hope I get to see them soon.

Once we got inside we sat up our instruments and went through soundcheck. After messing around with covers for a bit we decided it was time to go get ready in the dressing room (which is honestly just a bunch of stalls cramped together in a back closet)

As we were walking back stage Kellin of SWS stopped us

"hay you guys do great out there alright, good luck!" he said

Brian and I said thanks and walked into the door leading to the backstage

"alright you guys ready?" Brian asked before we ran on stage. He had his bass strapped around his body

"ya, i'm ready to go" I responded with my guitar strapped on mine

I looked around and realized Joseph wasn't in site

"wait, ugh, where the fuck is joseph?!"

I ran into the hallway through the door that opened up to the backstage

Joseph was running as fast as he could with his guitar in his hand. I could hear him breathing heavy.

"fuck......I lost......my picks.......and I couldn't.......go on stage without them now can I..." he said between heavy breaths.

"whatever just hurry up and get on stage now!" I said strongly

we ran on stage and performed covers and then our own songs.

about 45 minutes later we thanked the crowd and then left so SWS could go on.

We came of stage sweating. My long black hair almost stuck to my back and my face was red, my skinny jeans felt like they were smothering me and my feet hurt inside my converse. You could see sweat stains on my Asking Alexandria shirt. we walked back to the dressing rooms and cooled off for a while. SWS came in and told us that it was a wonderful decision to make when they let us open up for them and that they'll miss us. it was our last night opening for them after 5 months of touring. along with them.

"Okay, now onto our hotel room." joseph got up to say

"ugh finally an actual bed and a shower! I said

"alright let's get going we got a flight to catch in the morning" Brian told us

we got into the van but greeted a few friends first. I never thought of us as a band that has fans. I am defiantly not the role model but neither are the boys, and the whole idea of idolizing a figure of somebody isn't something i personally like. so we just call our fans, friends.

we made it to our hotel room. it was a joint room with two beds in each room and a door connecting them. the beds had white sheets while boring dull pictures hung above the plasma Television. I have never wanted to shower so much in my life. after I showered for what seemed like an hour, I climbed into bed and feel asleep.
