The World in Shadows

Prologue

"Where am I? What is this place? I can't see." I was lost and scared.

"You're in my forest intruder and you should leave." Now!" I was hearing a strange voice.

"Who are you and what is this place?"

"Don't play dumb with me. I know your here for my relic just like the rest." She was mad and started charging at me.

"What no I just want to go home. I can't see but that voice won't trust me."

"Now die!" The strange voice got closer and closer.

"Run you can't stay here or you will die"

Suddenly I hear a strange voice calling out to me at the last moment I see a bright light appear and blinded the strange monster.

I could see a path, I ran and got to a safe place and was able to rest for a moment.

"This place is beautiful but what is this place?" Even after I was safe I was not alone.

"This is the resting place of the relic I was talking about." said the same monster who was about to kill me. But she was not angry. "I'm sorry I overreacted. I thought you wanted my relic. Can you tell me your name?"

"I'm sorry, I'm Sam. Can you tell me your name?" I think she can trust me.

"No I can't. You are still an intruder but you seem kind." Well, I tried by asking.

I heard a sound coming from the bush. I got worried but then I saw she was not worried.

"I need you to do something for me but you can only try once."

"What is it?" I asked but got worried.

"Touch the relic and you will see" She pointed at the altar.

"OK." I got close to the relic but I was not sure I should. After I got closer the relic was glowing in light and Darkness.

"Yes now touch it and you will gain a power you can only get in your dreams." Her smile got bigger and bigger. I got uneasy but I trusted her.

The light and darkness covered my body and I started to feel kind of strange. "What's happening to me?" I can't move. "Stop!"

"Just hold on. Trust me you will feel much better when it's over." Her smile got even bigger but she was right, it started to stop and I felt better."

"Stop! Let it go. You can't trust her." Then a strange man appeared out of nowhere.

"It is already too late. You can't stop it. Now leave!" She said it like she knows who he was.

"Who is that?" I asked but she did not answer me.

"Stop this or I will destroy you!" The stranger said with anger.

"Don't make me laugh you are too weak to fight me." She got ready to fight him.

The strange feeling stopped and I felt stronger than before but the black cloaked man was enraged and started throwing knives at me. I was able to avoid them all.

"No, I will kill both of you. Now take this." Taking out a sword with great energy he ran at both of us.

"Sam go! I will hold him off." She said, while she pushed me out of the way.

"No I won't leave you." Even as I was ready to run I stayed to help her and take him down.

After all that I was not ready to fight even after I touched the relic. He then catches me off guard and paralyzes me.
