Anna's POV:
I know, it may seem like a new adventure but trust me, it isn't. It's our first one. Literally our first one. And I should know, it's from one of my favorite video-games. Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon. I love the Mario games so much. Ok, I've only played this game and Mario bros wii but it still counts! Anyway, it all began when I was hosting my first slumber party at the RBA. I was making sure all the video-games were in perfect working order. Especially my latest one, Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon. It had been years since I've played this and I wanted to see if I still had my skills. I was close to finishing a scarescraper level when my boyfriend, Hot Shot, popped up behind me and scared the living daylights out of me! "Whatcha doing?" He asked. I yelped and accidentally dropped my 3DS. "Ugh! Don't do that, Hot Shot! You made me lose my concentration. Now I have to start the scarescraper level again!" I said. I picked up my 3DS and looked for a specific online level on the Scarescraper. The other Recruits came in to see what was up. I put my 3DS down and smiled. "Uh, Annie, why does this video game case have a picture of a guy in a green outfit surrounded by ghosts and screaming?" Hoist asked. "This my friends, is my favorite 3DS game from Nintendo! Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon! It took half my allowance and a lot of convincing Blurr to let me get it." I said with glee. "Wait, isn't the game supposed to be for kids that are age appropriate? Cause if a younger child was to play it, it would clearly give them nightmares." Medix said. I rolled my eyes at him. "It's rated E, Medix. E for everyone." I retorted. "The ghosts are so colourful. How are you supposed to know which is which?" Whirl asked. I facepalmed and went through the whole story of Luigi's Mansion. "The small green ghosts are called Greenies. The big red ghosts are called Slammers, the blue skinny ghosts are hiders, the pink ghosts are sneakers, etc." I explained. "Whoa, you sure know a lot about this game. Almost as much as you enjoy playing it." Hoist said. I nodded and my pendant began glowing a bright pink and my 3DS levitated in the air and created a giant portal. My twin brother ran in and saw the swirling portal. "Guys, get away from there!" He cried. "I... I can't! It's sucking us in!" I yelped. Kick grabbed my hand and tried to pull back. "Kick, stay back! You'll get pulled in too!" Whirl said. Then suddenly we were all pulled in! "I HATE TIME TRAVELING!" Wedge yelled as we flew around. One second later, we found ourselves hitting solid ground. Hard.
"Ow!" Whirl said. "Man, that's gonna leave a mark." Kick said. "Is everyone alright?" I asked. "Yep. All good." Hoist said. "That is the last time we ever do that. Where the heck are we anyway?" Wedge asked. I looked around and saw an old Mansion and it was pouring down rain. "Let's head inside and see if we can figure this out." I suggested. "Count me in. Maybe we'll find someone who can explain." Hot Shot said. We nodded and I saw a mouse carrying a key. "Hey little guy." I said softly. "Careful. We don't know where that thing's been or what it is. It could be dangerous." Medix said. I crouched down and pulled out a slice of cheese and pointed to the key. The mouse gave me the key and I gave it the cheese. "Thanks little guy. Now you stay out of trouble." I said gently as I got up. "Voila." I said with a smirk. "Whoa! Look at that moon. It's purple." Whirl said. "Purple moon? Wait. Could it be...?!" I said with a slight squeal. "It seems to be made of crystal." Medix added. I squealed with glee like the fangirl I am. "Guys, do you know what this means?! WE'RE IN LUIGI'S MANSION: DARK MOON!" I squealed with delight. Wedge faceservoed in annoyance. "Oh, great. Now we're stuck here in this creepy world filled with ghosts and no way home!" He complained. Kick looked excited and I did too. "This is gonna be awesome!" He exclaimed. Just then, a Greenie ghost approached us and beckoned for us to follow him. "Now stay close. If I remember the beginning correctly, someone or someTHING is gonna break the Dark Moon." I whispered so the Greenie wouldn't hear me. "You may be right about that. Cause look!" Hot Shot said gesturing out of the window. We looked and saw a giant orb thing break the Dark Moon! The next thing we knew, the Greenie lost it's pupils and began attacking us. I saw an old man trying to get out and we went and helped him. We escaped the Mansion and went into this bunker thing. "Are you okay?" I asked the old man. He fixed his glasses and sat on a chair and smiled at us. "Yes, thanks to all of you. My name is Professor Elvin Gadd. But you can call me E.Gadd." He introduced himself. "I'm Annalise, but I prefer Anna or even Annie. Just between you and me, I find Annie easier to remember. This is my twin brother, Kick Buttowski, and these are the Rescue Recruits." I introduced ourselves to him. "What just happened back there? We saw the Dark Moon get broken and then this Greenie started attacking us for no apparent reason." Hot Shot said. "The Dark Moon keeps all the ghosts in Evershade Valley peaceful. Without it, they just snap and become vicious." E.Gadd explained. "I can help round them up!" I said. "How?" Hoist asked. "I know this thing like the back of my hand. Plus, I can do it. I'm up for an adventure!" I said. "Oh by the way, we found this outside." Kick said, handing E.Gadd a piece of the Dark Moon. "I don't believe it. You found a fragment of it. And it seems to be corrupted by some sort of energy. I reckon it's a disruptive energy that suppresses the Dark Moon's ability to pacify ghosts! But lucky for us, I've got inventions for all kinds of situations." E. Gadd said. "Stand back, everyone!" I said. The recruits and Kick took a step back. A record player of some sort popped up and E. Gadd put the corrupted piece of the Dark Moon on there and before long, it was nice and sparkly. "Wow!" Hot Shot said. We heard a whooshing outside. "Uh, what was that?" Hoist asked. E. Gadd took a look on his computer. "Criminy! The fog around this bunker... is gone!" He told us. "It seems that when the fragment was cleaned the fog around the bunker dispersed." Medix deduced. I looked at the map and nodded. "Guys, do you know what this means? We should be able to reach the Gloomy Manor now! But more importantly, it means that restoring the Dark Moon will solve all our problems!" E. Gadd said. I nodded. "So you're saying if we can find all the Dark Moon pieces, the fog will vanish and the ghosts will return to normal?" Kick asked. E. Gadd nodded. "But until then, the ghosts will have to be contained." Medix said. E. Gadd looked at me with a smile. "And that's where you and your buddies come in, Annie." He said. I nodded gently. "Wait, us?" Wedge asked. "Annie's the best ghost wrangler we know!" Hot Shot told him. "We should know, cause she works with a half ghost superhero." Kick said. "Coincidentally, she's the only ghost wrangler we know." Hoist said. "Don't worry, Professor. We'll help you capture the ghosts and restore the Dark Moon. And also find out who and what broke it in the first place and make them pay!" Kick said. I smiled as I hugged Kick. "Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa! Not so fast, guys. We should be focusing on important things, like getting home. Our professors are probably worried sick about us and looking for us right now." Wedge said. I knew he was right. Then I came up with an idea. "Professor, do you still have your Pixelator from when Luigi did this?" I asked E. Gadd. "I sure do. Why do you ask?" He asked. "We can use it to get from between here and the RBA. But I know how to make it a little more simple." I said. I touched my pendant and created a book based on Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon. "There. Whenever one of us is needed, the book will vibrate and glow. Kinda like my Disney book." I explained. "Splendid. But right now, I made it so you can communicate with your professors through your 3DS. Here. I'll show ya." He replied. He showed me a 3DS and I held it in my hands. "Give it a whirl." He said. I opened it. "Hello?" I asked. "Hello? Hello? How do you work this thing? Is it on? Which is the answer button?" Heatwave asked on the screen. "We're alright, sir." I reassured him. "I can see that but where are you? We've been looking for you everywhere. And what was the strange green light I saw when I came a few hours ago?" Heatwave asked. "Well remember how I said one day I would get a chance to actually be IN a video-game without some threat preventing me from getting back?" I asked. "Yeah. Why?" Heatwave asked. "Well, the Recruits and Kick and I are in Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon!" I said with a squeal. "How can I not guess it was that?" Heatwave said, rolling his optics. "So uh.... We're NOT in big trouble for disappearing into a video game?" I asked worriedly. "Yes, you are in big trouble but unlike Blurr, I'm gonna let this one slide. Just let me know where you're going next time." He said. "Yes, sir." I said. "Well, good luck. And try not to get killed." Heatwave said. "We won't get killed." I reassured him and closed the 3DS. "Wait, didn't Luigi use something called the Poltergust 500 to contain the ghosts?" Hot Shot asked. "Poltergust 5000." I corrected him. "Right, that." Hot Shot said. "With all the ghosts gone hostile, I haven't been able to retrieve it." E. Gadd said.
"Don't worry, we'll get it for ya." Kick said. I nodded. "You will? That's great!" E.Gadd said. We smiled. "Everybody hang on tight now!" E. Gadd said activating the Pixelator. "CHIMICHANGA!" Kick said, making his pose. "Whoo-hoo!" Whirl cheered. "BOOYAKASHA!" I cheered. "Not agaaaaaaain!" Wedge complained.
