I woke up and I wasn't on the couch , I was on his bed. The shed door opened and Cayden walked in.
"Well well well" he said " sleeping beauty is finally awake"
"So is the beast" I muttered . Cayden looked confused.
"I think you got your Disney princesses wrong"
"I know what I said and I know my princesses" I said and I sat on my bed. The something hit me . I looked around the room. I panicked .
"Where's Peter?" I asked.
"Calm down he with that one girl"
"That one girl!" I screamed "who is that one girl!"
"Ummm" he thought for a moment" what's her ? What's her name ?.... Annie!"
"I don't know a Annie" I said
"But you guys road down her together?" He was really confused .
"Amy?" I asked .
"Yeah yeah" he said snapping his fingers " that's her name "
"Ohhh , boy" I said putting my hand on my head.
"Ohh and she told me to give these to you" he said placing a set of clothes by me. He walk out the shed , closing the door behind him.
I looked at the close Amy picked out.
God remind me never to have her pick out my clothes .
It was some blue booty shorts that had rips in them. A blue spaghetti shirt that had ruffles at the top. I put my tennis shoes back on.
I walk out of the shed. I left my clothes folded on the couch . Cayden was leaning against the shed.
"Whoa" he said and smirked" quite a fashion statement during war"
I rolled my eyes" I didn't pick this out"
"But you brung the clothes"
" I just got random stuff" I said and starting to walk to the barn.
"Haha" he said.
We walked into the barn and it was even more crowded than last night.
"Are you hungry?" Cayden yelled over all the buzz.
" No not really" I said.
He grabbed my hand and started to pull me towards the back of the barn .
The captain was freaking out . he was yelling at people in throwing papers in the air.
"Captain?" Cayden asked. The captain look relieve that Cayden was here but than he got upset again .
"Hill, we have a problem he said walking up to Cayden. he dropped my hand and I was kinda hurt. I liked his hand in mines.
"What happened?"
"Three of our men have been caught"
Cayden's face dropped and turned pale.
"We have to send in a team before they get tortured and reveal where we're at" the captain said. " I'm going to send you and five other people ."
Now it's my turn to speak.
"I want to go" I said. They looked at me like I was insane or retarded." my mother risked her life for me and now imma risk my life for her"
"I don't think-"Cayden started.
" She there and imma be the one to get her back , you don't have a say in it . either I go with a team or by myself . your choice"
I turned around and walked away.

I was in the shed messing around with Peter. I was tickling peter when he told me to stop.
"When's mommy coming back?" He asked.
"Umm soon"i said .
Cayden walked into the shed.
"So..." he scratched that back of his neck" you can prove that you can last 5 minutes in war"
I got super excited .I smiled .
"This is not a joke this is real. if you die there's no coming back " he said
My eyes widen .he didn't just say the D word in front of my brother. My brother face went pale , he screamed like he had been shot in the foot and he had to walk on it. I quickly put my hands over his mouth and hugged him . he calmed down.
"Don't say the D word in front of him" I yelled at Cayden.
"What" he asked confused" die?"
Peter screamed louder than before and I began to rock him back and forth.
" You idiot!" I yelled.
I kept rocking him Barack and forth whispering everything's going to be alright .
" Do you want to spend some time with Amy?" I whispered to Peter He nodded he's head. I picked him up. Cayden held the shed door open for me. we walked to the next door shed where Any and Marc were playing 20 questions .
"Can he hang out with you guys for a few minutes?" I asked Amy .
" Sure " she said. Peter got out of my arms and sat by Amy .
"See you in a few" I said to peter as I walked out the door .
Cayden and I started to walk back to the barn .
"I'm sorry about what happened Cayden said.
" Don't worry about it" i said .
"If I might say , you handled that situation very well"
"Thank you"i said.
"Well-"
" Can you not make conversation" I asked.
" Sorry"
Now I felt bad. great . ohh well he's just going to have to deal with it . I've been through to much for him to be talking to like we're best friends I just need to focus. I had to prove myself .
If I did my life would be on the line. I would either come back with my mother or not come back at all.
Cayden starts leading me behind the barn.

There where some cans set up on stacks of hay and the captain was here with a two other people. one was a woman and on was a man . they all looked young and they both had blue eyes.
" Welcome" the captain said . " This is Molly Rose and Cason Rose"
"Hey, Jayden"i said.
"Well, today you have to do a little test" the captain said " its real simple "
"Okay"i said .
"You just have to shoot those cans off those hay stacks"he said
"Okay , with what?" I asked.
"And that's what you have to find out"
God I knew there was a catch. I looked around to search for something.
"God , I was just playing" the captain said.
I looked up, he had an amused expression on his face. He handed me and gun. This was my second time I was holding a gun. this gun was kind of heavy . the captain told me were to stand. There were ten targets. I cocked the gun back. I held the gun up.

I breathe in and shot once. the can flew back . I breathe out.
I went to the next one I shit once and the can fell . I did that 7 more time till I got to the last one. This can was setting differently and was mashed up.
I turned to gun towards the side and fired twice . the 1st flew past it was the 2nd hit it and the can fell.
I turned around and and the Captain had a surprised look on his face.
"You leave in morning" he said walking away.
I did it . I actually did it . Ohhh wait I don't feel good. I think I going to be sick.

I sat on the couch next to Peter who was sleeping . I told Peter that was going to leave for a little while and I didn't know how long . I told him I'll be back and I'll bring mom with me. I also told Amy and she almost passed out but she promised to take care of Peter she also told me that she and Marc was undeclared.
"I hope I don't have to put you in my bed again "Cayden said
I shot my head up .I didn't even here him come in.
"What?" I asked
"Your sleeping in my bed tonight, I'll take the couch" he said.
"Okay" I didn't feel like arguing .
I picked up Peter carefully and placed him on the bed. I sat at the edge of the bed. I stared at the wall.
"You okay?" I nodded my head .
"You don't look like it" Cayden said sitting next to me.
"You know earlier" Cayden started " it seemed like you held a gun before .."
I continued to stare at the wall. Should I tell him? I just met him. Can u trust him. It wasn't my fault he told me to do it . I didn't do anything.
"Jayden?"
"Yes?" I whispered .
"Have you ever held a gun before?"
There was silence for a good minute than I finally said yes.
"Why? Or how?"
That hit me hard. Why did I do it? Was I thinking straight. I could have told him to stop and not to do it.
" I-I I don't know" I thought about it " one day , I was living with my dad cause my mother and him were splitting up, my dad called me into his room, Peter was sleep, he had a gun in his hand."
"My dad was in a dark place at the time" I whispered "he told me to shoot him. I guess you could call that a suicide mission "
"Did you shoot him?"
"Yeah..."i said but you could barley hear me "right in the chest "
"Why?"
I shrugged " I really don't know I wasn't thinking at the time, I always did what my dad told me to do."
I stopped looking at the wall to see that Cayden was looking at me. I smiled.
"I'm just playing, why would I ever shoot my dad!"I started laughing really hard. "what really happened is, my dad was working for the Cleveland hts police department and he took me to work and he taught me how to shoot a gun properly , the next day he took me on the ride along and he told me to stay in the car but of course I didn't and he died trying to save me."
"Should I really believe that?" Cayden asked.
"This time it is the truth, that's the real story "
Cayden stared into my eyes. whoa he has a pretty hazel eye color . I was getting really uncomfortable right now, I yawned and covered my mouth. I pulled my blue hair back .
" Yeah you should probably get some sleep we leave at 4:00 "
I layers on the bed and closed my eyes and I wrapped my arms around Peter .
I slowly went to sleep.
