The Forgotten Lake

The sun shimmers across the crystal clear water of the forgotten lake as she climbs. The track was unforgiving but now here thinking of turning back is unbelievable. She'd gone high enough, she turned and dived. She dived deep and true, piercing the surface with her hands, then running them over the rocks that lay at the bottom before resurfacing.

That's when she saw him.

He was just standing there watching, almost waiting for something to happen-excepting something to happen.

She wanted to look away but she just kept staring into his deep blue eyes. There was something entrancing about him but she couldn't pinpoint it exactly.

Everything about him was familiar. The way he stood, his build, even his aura seemed known to her.

She could only just speak.

"It can't be... Is it really YOU??!"
