One day, the Mario bros were driving to toad town for the origami festival. Once they got there they met a random person named y/n and this is where our story begins.
[third-person POV]
"Huh... Hey, Luigi, are you sure, we're not early?" Mario asked. "Here, see for yourself," Luigi said while handing him the invitation. It read: It's a beautiful day outside, the birds are singing, the flowers are blooming... on days like these, kids like you... should be attending my origami festival! The festival will be held ******

"Huh, the dates are right," Mario says. "Well, where is everybody?" Luigi asks before another person drives into toad town "Well there's someone" Mario points out.
