Why were you still trying?

Why won't you ever give up?

It's ironic, really. Loving him was the biggest mistake that you made. But you can't stop. Gosh, why won't you stop?

So I never really knew you

God I really tried to

Blindsided, addicted

Felt we could really do this

But really I was foolish

Hindsight it's

Obvious

When you first cried those tears, you thought they were beautiful. Amazing, even. There they were, rolling down your cheeks, coloured with more shades than you had ever seen in your life. But as you sat there watching them drip onto your clothes, that's when you realised you were the biggest fool here.

The feeling of knowing that he doesn't feel the same. The feeling of those cold, hard crystals rolling down your cheeks every single time. It's a shame that you had to suffer the consequences of loving someone unconditionally.

Talking with my lawyer she said

"Where'd you find this guy?"

I said, "Young people fall in love"

"With the wrong people sometimes"

Slowly but surely, the colourful solids became sharper. Crying became a pain. And yet you wouldn't stop letting the tears flow. You would just sit there, letting them fall to the ground. The crystalline tears would scrape your face and your legs, harming anything they came into contact with mercilessly. The once beautiful tears were now always tainted crimson.

As you watched him everyday, you prayed that one day, maybe, just maybe , he would feel the same. Though, it never happened; those tears still leaked out of your eyes, taunting you every single time.

Some mistakes get made

That's alright, that's okay

You can think that you're in love

When you're really just in pain

Some mistakes get made

That's alright, that's okay

In the end it's better for me

That's the moral of the story babe

That fateful day, you thought that a confession letter could help. Facing your feelings didn't seem like such a bad idea.

So you thought about hiding your letter in his bag. It seemed like a good idea at that moment.

Maybe you shouldn't have done that.

Walking out of class after lessons, who would've thought that you would find your letter in the trash? You thought that you were mistaken, since your eyesight wasn't as good as before. But, as you bent down to take a closer look, there it was -- your letter, torn up and thrown in there just like that. What a pity. All your thoughts, feelings, emotions, discarded so easily.

It's funny how a memory

Turns into a bad dream

When running wild turns volatile
