Adelyn POV:

It has been years since the invasion of Nosferatu, that's what we named the whole palaver. Vampires attempt to take over the world, we as in me and Daisy. It's just us. We got split up from everyone else. My brother Wesley and his friend Archer, A girl named Summer and some other people disappeared some time after the invasion. I can't say they were any help. They only dragged us down so I guess we are better off. Or that's what I keep telling myself.

We found an abandoned mansion in the middle of the woods. We were sitting in the kitchen when we heard a crash from upstairs. We had been packed ready to go whenever because we can't stay in one place at once obviously. I had gone upstairs to check. When I peaked in the master bedroom to see two, well dressed, pale vampires a shriek escaped my lips. Well a screech more like. I sprinted downstairs and grabbed Daisy. My only company. At least I have a friend. We ran for ages only stopping for a glance at the disaster left behind. We new the drill. Keep running. No matter what. Don't stop until we have done full spot checks to rest and then keep moving again.

We were fast runners. So fast that we almost missed the wreck that had collapsed on the floor. Daisy and I stopped abruptly for a peek at it. I stood over this 'wreck' covered in what I suspected was it's own blood. Oh wait. I stand corrected. It is a she. A human.

Back to story sorry:

'Wait, please do-' She begins.

'Save it.' I say annoyed, 'Daisy-'

'Wait a sec,' Daisy began, 'It's Bee,' She said looking at the girl carefully. Then it hits me. It's Beatrice from the orphanage? A friendly face. Or not actually. I can't say I like her that much. She and my non identical twin brother had something going on apparently, and so thought of me as her sister. Haha nope.

'Bee? It's Addy and Daisy,' I say, 'C'mon get up,' I yank her up maybe a little to hard. She almost toppled over again. I giggle to myself at the thought of her scrambled on the floor, embarrassed.

'Are you good Bee?' Daisy says concerned. Bee nods weekly. Wow. Well this is crazy, ok. I consider for a second to let her join us, It's cool having new people around I guess but maybe not her.

'You weren't followed were you?' I ask.

'N-no,' She stutters.

I nod and sit followed by Daisy. It's late and I can just about see the confusion in her face. 'So I assume that the blood stench on you is cleared off so the vamps can't get you or even us?' I question a little to nastily. She drops her gaze to the ground and nods.

'Now what?'

'Now we sit and rest for a bit,' I smile. She does sit but not close to me. I can just make out see guilty face. I almost chuckle at her discomfort. As much as it's nice to have more company, I hate her. A lot. She has a huge thing for my brother. Like HUGE. During lunch back at the orphanage, they were both the first people to leave and were caught, shortly after, Making out in the cupboard under the stairs. Those wannabe Harry Potters. I blame her. Wesley claimed she forced herself on him but deep down we know, that is far from the truth.

It's so disgusting but it isn't like she is the first to be caught with my playboy of a brother.

'How's Wesley? He's not de-' She trembled at the thought of him being gone.

'You tell me,' I say bluntly.

'He along with everyone else disappeared, We have no idea if they are dead or not,' Daisy said sadly.

Bee nodded looking at the ground again

'Got any-' She couldn't finish before the sobbing started.

'Scran?' I ask. She shoots a confused look my way, 'It's food dipsh-'

'Adelyn language!' Daisy laughed cutting me off. Bee wasn't laughing, she seemed sad still. I chucked over a pack of chocolate digestives and she caught them eagerly. We had snatched them along with multiple other things from the old mansion. We sat quietly until sun rise in silence. We couldn't sleep due to the dramatic turn of events that had happened. Ok maybe 'dramatic' is a bit much but oh well.

Bee cried for hours and her eyes were red and puffy, cheeks covered in tear stains. All in all, she was a complete mess.

When she had stopped weeping, I packed my bag again and stood up, 'Right, best get going.' I began walking. As Daisy and Bee caught up we heard a loud crunch from the distance. We all turned to look in the direction of the sudden noise. Are we being followed?

This is definitely not good.
