Hello!
'Sivaangi?'
Ashwin's lips whispered back involuntarily, his mind drowning into an emotional dumbfoundedness. His eyebrows shot up with shock one second and furrowed in confusion the next second. The name kept echoing in every bit of his psyche repeatedly. He stared at her goggle-eyed face, trying very hard to understand the situation.
"In-Inga enna pannara?" faltered Sujatha.
Why was she here? Whose house was this? Hers? What was she doing at Lovedale?
Sujatha's brain was working at full tilt. Her eyes scrutinised the surroundings, trying to find a clue to resolve her confusion. She peered inside the cottage to find it empty. She turned her head back to Sivaangi.
"Ammavum annanum enga?" she inquired.
It took time for Sivaangi's brain to find the words to adequately express what she felt. But her words stopped flowing. She tried to part her lips to speak, but they were sealed firmly. Her throat turned parched. She was forced into a situation that she had never anticipated.
Although Rakshan couldn't fathom out the meaning behind the trio's expressions, he was quick to grasp his sister's state of mind.
"Ulla kutitu poi pesunga ma" urged Rakshan apprehensively.
Looking at Rakshan's concerned face, Sujatha nodded understandingly. She moved forward, grabbed Sivaangi's wrist and dragged her inside Vrindavan. She took her to one of the rooms, closing the door behind.
As soon as they heard the sound of Sivaangi's anklets halt and the banging of the door, the boys sighed heavily. But their eyes were still fixed onto the closed door expectantly.
"Enna machan nadakudhu inga?" asked Rakshan, curiosity brimming out of his head.
"Sivaangi da" said Ashwin animatedly.
"Aama Sivaangi. Munnadiye theriyuma enna?" Rakshan asked with a frown, moving his hands back and forth to relax his muscles.Ashwin smiled earnestly. Folding his arms above his head, he tilted his face towards the sky dramatically.
"Murai ponnu da"

Standing opposite to each other, Sujatha stared at Sivaangi, waiting for her to open her mouth. But the woman wouldn't budge. She had glued her eyes to the floor.
Unable to withstand her stubbornness, Sujatha asked relentlessly,
"Vaila enna kozhukattai ya vechurka?"
"Illa naan yaaru nu theriyadha? Marandhutiya?" she snapped.
Sivaangi raised her horror-filled eyes. Did she think that she had forgotten her? How could she do that?
Regardless of feeling mortified by her words, Sivaangi felt devastated to see her hurt.
Sivaangi's father and Ashwin's father had been very close friends from school. Ever since they had graduated, they had worked very hard to crack the NDA examination. They made it a habit to sit day and night at Krishnan, Sivaangi's father's house, determinedly preparing for the test. That's how Sujatha knew Prakash. Their love life was a whole different story.
