A/N: so, for thoes of you who are confused, this story is how different people talked to her throughout her depression, and then at the very end of it all im going to have an epolouge where its her and Remus' wedding day. (There is no timeline like in one chapter it might be midwinter and then in the next it might be june)

Kingsley stood up from his seat at the Three Broomsticks and walked out into the cold grounds of Hogmeade, the early winter snow was lightly falling from the skys. A few extra Aurors had been called to watch Hogmeade as the students of Hogwarts went home for the winter break. He walked down a small hill, seeking some alone time as his shift doesn't start for another hour. He saw the small peice of sandy land that descended out into the lake in the shape of a dog's tail.

Someone was sitting on a bench, he didn't recognize the person so he could probably still get the quiet time he wanted without the person knowing him. He walked down towards the water and saw the tiny fish at the shore, he looked up towards the castle and saw the therestrals tracking down the hill with carriages, no doubt the carriages had students on them getting ready to abord the Hogwarts express.

He saw two redheads, a bushy brown and a jet black haird group. Harry, Ron, Ginny and Hermione, there was also a pale blond, Luna Lovegood. He remembered her from the battle of the department of Mysteries. He waved a cross the lake and Luna knoticed, she tapped Hermione on the shoulder and they both waved at Kingsley before jumping onto the carriage.

"Kingsley?" Said a voice behind him, he turned around and saw a pale, skinny, ill looking moucy brown hair woman, the girl who had sat on the bench. It took him a minute to realize who it was.

"Hm? Oh, hello Tonks!" He said walking over to her. "I didn't realize it was you." He added.

"What where you just looking at?" She asked.

"The therestrals. . . . .I can see them now after Sirius. . . . ." He explained.

"Oh. . . . ." She said looking down "I was already unconscious when Bellatrix. . . . ." She trailed off not wanting to continue

"I didn't know you where stationd hogsmeade?" She added trying to steer the conversation the other way.

"Oh, yes. I had stationd here today because of the students leaving for Christmas holidays. Did you hear what happened to the Bell girl back in October?" He said sitting next to her.

"Oh yes. Quite worrisome, I do hope they find whom did it." She agreed

They sat for a moment in silence, tonks reached down, took of her shoes and socks and dipped her feet in the cold December water of the Black Lake.

"Isn't that like dipping your feet in liquid hypothermia?" He asked

"Yeah, pretty much." She said, Kingsley let out a small chuckle at her modesty.

"So how have you been doing?" Tonks asked him, leaning back, closing her eyes, crossing her arms across her chest while her feet sat still in the cold water.

"Ive been fine. With Voldmort waiting to plan his next move my Order work has died down. My Auror work, on the other hand, is sky rocketing1. With so many Death Eaters on the loose its all hands on deck now. There is only one person in our whole corps working paper work. But, more importantly, how are you doing?"

Tonks opend her eyes and turned her head to look at him.

"How do I look like I'm doing?" She said, he suddenly knoticed how red and swollen her eyes where and there where tear tracks down her face as if she had recently been crying.
