Chapter 4: Roommate

Margeret's P.O.V.

I managed to lug my luggage up to my room. Panting slightly, I flung open the door.

There were two beds. One, was empty and had a closet beside it. I guess it is mine. The other sat a girl with long wavy black hair and brown eyes. She wore a purple long sleeve shirt with white strips and a pair of jeans. She jumped up immediately when she saw me.

' Hello! I am Abigale. Abigale Jessica. Nice to meet you! ' she grinned and extended her hand. I took it.

' Hi. I am Margeret Grace. ' I introduced myself politely. She seemed nice enough.

' Yeah! You are my roommate right? ' she said enthusiastically, dragging me to the kitchen. ' Let's have some warm milo and have a chat! Warm milo's the best! '

I liked her immediately. ' I totally agree! ' I exclaimed, jumping up to help her. ' I brought some milo powder too! '

We started to make milo for ourselves and after that, we sat down at the dining table.

' This place is cool. ' I commented, admiring the nice designs on the walls.

' Yup! I know! The pieces of tinted glass used to decorate the walls make it unique and cosy. ' Abigale nodded. ' Why did you transfer in so suddenly? '

There was an awkward silence.

' Sorry. I should not have asked. ' Abigale muttered quietly.

' S'okay. My dad forced me to. He is very...URGH. ' I grumbled.

' Yeah. I know. Parents are like that. But this a is nice place. You get to escape from your parents. I have to do well in my subjects to stay here. ' she smiled sadly.

' Why? ' I asked, curious. ' Your parents can't be that bad like mine. Plus you must have friends in those non-boarding schools! '

Abigale bit her lip nervously. ' No. Not really. People think I am a nerd. My parents make me study. It is horrible. ' she said quietly. ' But, ' she continued with new confidence, ' now, I have started anew and I am fitting in! Plus no parents anymore! '

I beamed. ' That's the spirit! '

' C'mon, ' Abigale raised her cup, ' let's drink to freedom, justice and most important of all,

' FUNNNNNNNN!!!!! '
